When looking at 1br villas and it says can sleep 5 but guest has to provide their own bedding what exactly does that mean? Do you get a cot? Sleep on the floor? Pull out chair?

It means you provide everything for the fifth person. DVC will not provide anything. So you bring an aero bed or a sleeping bag or camp cot. Plus the sheets and blankets, plus towels because you only get four bathtowels.

I always ask for extra pillows and blankets just for me.....I don't see why you can't put some extra blankets on the floor if you really needed to in a pinch:confused3

They don't want to make it convenient for you to have 5 people. you can always purchase the extra towel(pack) for your stay.

So the villas with the pull out chair, has no linens provided? We are traveling in May with 3 adults and 2 kids (one aged 2), at BCV the 2 yr old will sleep in a pack and play. But at AKV, I thought the 2 yr old would sleep with her mom and the 7 yr old will sleep on the pull out chair. Will I need to pack sheets?

And with the two bathrooms at Kidani, will each bath only have two sets of towels?

Places where a pull out chair is provided will also have the bedding for it.

Haven't stayed at Kidani but at BLT which has the 2 baths in the one bed I think there are towels for about 6 people - certainly there was more than 4 of each.

We had no bedding for the sleeper chair in the OKW GV...now, I suppose we could've ask for some, but didn't need until late one night and someone wanted to try it out. Couch had sheets and blankie.

We didn't have blankets and pillows for the sleep chair at BLT during one trip, but we called and they brought them right up. I find the towel situation is determined by how many bathrooms you have. We generally have 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels and 4 washclothes, per bathroom. So at Kidani 1 bedroom you will have 2 bathrooms, therefore more towels. At OKW 1 bedroom, you have 1 bathroom, so less towels. I too was a little shocked that the resorts that don't have a sleep chair were now listed as sleeping 5. We've done 5 in a one bedroom, because my grandkids are little and just climb in bed with mom. No need for extra lines.

Sometimes it is in the closet in a zippered bag.

You'll have bed linen, usually on the chair with blankets for the pull out couch and chair in a zipper bag in the MBR closet. Since you have two bathrooms in a 1 BR at Kidani you'll have 4 sets of towels in each bathroom.

I have to admit that I don't understand the thinking for DVC regarding the number of guests in a room. The villas that actually have the sleeper chairs should not only have the linens, but should have extra towels and extra dishes and glasses for that guest. But they don't have the towels and dishes. I don't get it.

Can you call and request the items at no charge from housekeeping? Or do you have to pay extra for the towels. I'm thinking at OKW where you only have one bathroom. I think I might have answered my own question on the towels. But what about the dishes and glasses. Can you ask for more?

A 1BR is (usually?) Connected to a studio and can be booked as a 2BR so a 1BR kitchen should have dishes for 8.

(Do AKV, BLT and OKW now have dishes for 9?)
