I think before the show starts a narrator (not Jiminy) says something about the lights in the Magic Kingdom being lowered during the fireworks and something about being careful walking in the darkness.

On my Wishes CD the first voice is the Blue Fairy who says, "When stars are born they posses a gift or two. One of them is this... they have the power to make a wish come true."

Then there is a musical part and some fireworks after which Jiminy Cricket says, "Pretty huh? I'll bet a lot of you folks don't believe that... about a wish coming true. Do ya? Well, I didn't either. 'Course I'm just a cricket. But let me tell ya what really changed my mind. You see the most fantasic magical things can happen... and it all starts with a wish!"

After that Tinkerbell flies and the show really starts!

Well, that just gives me goosebumps! I cry everytime I watch Wishes! The people around me must think I'm wierd!
