What does it mean to get "Dreamed"

Just wondering. I been outta touch with the whole DL scene since my last visit 3 years ago. Is this some new promotion? What is a Dream Team? Going to DL Oct 11-17... Can I still buy a Dream then??? Thanks... BTW I tries to do a search on "Dream" but the number of results that it returned was no help...

A dream is not something you can buy. Disney has been doing a promotional thing for the Year of a Million Dreams celebration by giving away prizes to a certain number of people. It is called being dreamed because you never know when and where you will be given the prize. There are multiple things that you can be given. The dream team is a group of CM's that give out the prizes.

And just because you're in the parks doesn't mean you're going to win something. I've been in Disneyland 15 days during this promotion and last Friday was the first time I got dreamed.

So I wouldn't go expecting to win anything. Let it be a pleasant surprise if you do.

We won the YOAMD Mickey ears once.

And 3 times we won Dream Fastpasses -- they are plastic cards on lanyards that have one fastpass for each ride that has FP in both parks!!! Those are great!!!

We did not expect to win anything, but had hoped. We were dreamed more than we ever though we could be! We really didn't see many people wearing either the hats or DFPs on our last trip -- we were just really really lucky and were at the right place at the right time!
