What does "Fastpass subject to availability" mean?

Checking FP return times from home this evening, I got a combo I've never seen before.



It's roughly 5:20 in Anaheim, Space Mountain is out of FPs for the day, but both Matterhorn and Indiana Jones are listed as "subject to availability". Not a return time, not "FP unavailable" like Space. Other rides have return times throughout the evening.

I was thinking it might just be that someone dropped a MaxPass and I timed it just right to see that message, but Matterhorn is still showing the same 7 minutes later. (Indy now shows "unavailable).

Any ideas from the crowd?

Hate to sound cynical but I wonder if it’s a new way to put a positive spin on ‘unavailable’ to make that higher MP price easier to stomach... and they’re transitioning over to that slowly?

Odd though! I see it too. And when I clicked to open it I got this new(?) ad with it...

I actually noticed that on Saturday when I was there. Space had the "Subject to availability" though. Not sure what it means either.

Hmmm ... now Big Thunder, which was just a couple minutes ago posting 10:55 to 11:55 return, is now "subject to availability," maybe when they get close to closing-time-FPs and there is very limited time return or FP left this what you see?

Are they all for the less-than-an-hour before closing time?

All but one were for 11p or later...I think IJ had an earlier return time.

Something’s been glitchy today - Roger Rabbit and Grizzly both showed “FP selections unavailable” at 8:45 this morning, but both seemed to be distributing normally like 20 minutes later.
