Hi,

I was just wondering what everyone else wears on the plane to keep comfortable. I usually wear jeans. Does every1 wear jeans or combat pants or three quarter length?

Thx:Pinkbounc :smooth:

A bit of a dilemma:

if you wear shorts on the flight out anticipating the warm florida sun, you normally freeze in the uk & on the plane but are dressed appropriately on arrival.

if you dress for the usual uk weather by wearing long trousers you're ok on the plane but have roasted legs on your trip to your hotel etc.

My solution is wearing a pair of trousers with zip off legs so they can be converted into shorts on arrival, got mine from M&S.

As we are flying out in August this year I will be wearing shorts and t-shirt :)

Previous trips have been in October, which means having to dress for the cold UK weather, but still be cool when arriving in Florida.
The first time we went we returned back to Birmingham Airport and it was about 6:30am and -2 deg.C. We had to wait for our taxi in jeans and t-shirts :)

Thought I was being clever this time, with my convertible trousers (from Milletts) but it seems like a few of you have the same idea.
Before this, I used to swelter on arrival, waiting for the bus outside Orlando airport, in my jeans.

Only a few hours to go!!!!!

shorts and Tees ( even in winter ) COS I'M ON HOLIDAY AND EVERYONE'S GOING TO KNOW IT !!! LOL :jester:

I wear something tried and tested that will remain comfortable throughout the trip - cotton trousers and cotton shirt. If it's cool here I wear a jacket, easy to flod over the arm when I exit the plane.

TIP : For those of you who want to wear the special DVT socks - make sure your trousers aren't too tight to pull the socks up - you may need to go to the loo and remove the trousers to get the socks on  ( I dread to think what they look like with shorts and sandals :teeth: )

I wear crop trousers(or capri pants),with a Tshirt, and take a very light weight sweat cardigan that can be rolled up and thrown in my hand luggage once I hit florida.

You mean you haven't seen the photos me in my shorts and t-shirt . . . and black DVT socks on our way back from St Lucia in May:p  ;) Let me tell you Darryl was extremely pleased with the idea he wasn't sitting next to me - but poor Katie was and just look horrified:rolleyes:

Did I care - well, admittedly I did at first, but then I settled in for the flight and couldn't have given a monkeys what anyone thought when the lights went off. Especially now the scientists have found the incidences of DVT are drastically reduced by wearing these socks.

Going in October, I tend to wear loose fitting cotton cropped trousers (plenty of room for me and my DVT socks;) ) and a t-shirt. They're great for coming back in, only have a fleece or something for hitting the UK beginning of November.

Wear whatever you're most comfortable in:D

On the flight out - t shirt and track suit pants

On the flight back - kaftan (too many buffet breakfasts) :p

I'll probably be trying out the trousers that convert into shorts...........thx again:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

i remember being on a flight coming back, it was boiling hot in Florida of course, and not that bad in the UK....except the flight got in at 5am, even in the middle of summer its not gonna be warm here!

How we enjoyed laughing at the people in their short shorts and vest tops standing at Luton Airport on a cold morning....

on the plane i go with comfort and layers, that way you can strip off when you get there (or the plane crew decide its time for you to sleep, and turn up the heating!) and add layers when it gets chilly!

or just stuff a change of clothes into your hand luggage, a pair of shorts wont take up that much extra room.

I wear either combats or 3/4's, T shirt and light jacket. I can't stand jeans as they're too restrictive, as long as I'm comfortable I'm not bothered.

shorts for me - can't bear being too hot - would rather be a bit chilly!

we going in the morning (oh yeah), i'm wearing 3/4's and a
t-shirt !!!
