I'm just curious. I've always considered working in the reservation center for Disney World to be extremely interesting to me. So much in fact, that if I found a good posistion, I would seriously consider relocating my family to Florida.

I have heard before that Disney does not pay it's cast members very well. Does anyone know offhand how they pay their reservationists? Is it hourly, commission, both, salary, and does anyone know if it's a set starting wage, or based on call center experience?

Any hard numbers offhand?

I'm not sure, but I don't think that the reservation people are even in Florida. I believe I've read that they're in Kansas or somewhere like that. I'm sure someone will know.

According to Disney's employment website, their reservationists are located in Orlando and Tampa.

"This is an hourly role and the position is located at the Disney Reservation Center in Orlando, Florida. Create magical Guest experiences by determining the individual needs of our Guests and matching their wishes and desires with relevant Walt Disney World products and services."

In most hotels, the reservation (or "revenue") people are pretty close to the bottom of the pay scale. I don't know about Disney.

There are several reservation centers, one is in Orlando.

If you are interested, I would contact WDW and find out the starting pay. I know several people that work there and the realities behind their pay but don't feel comfortable sharing that information. Maybe someone else does ;)

I got an e-mail for a job opening in Tampa for $7.25/hour for reservationist. Did not say if it was full or part-time. Go to Disney online and register your e-mail for job openings if interested. Got another one for customer service opening at $9.25/hour.....also do not know if full or part time. You really have to be either retired or looking for 2nd job to work there it seems. Pay is very low and if you can afford to work there, yippee. After I retire I plan on working there, but will use it as a 2nd income only and really just for the benefits and park passes. good luck!

Um, OK - That's a negative then.

Yikes. I can't believe posistions are even offered as full time at that pay. Not sure about Florida, but in Massachusetts, that wouldn't even cover a months mortgage (or in many cases, rent.)

Last I heard, it was about 8.50 for full time.

Something to consider is that you have a SET schedule. You don't get a Monday off because it's a holiday, if your schedule includes Christmas Day, you are expected to work it. Much like the parks.
