What does "dedicated" mean??

I have seen some refer to rooms as dedicated or locked??
What exactly does that mean?? Thanks in advance

A "dedicated" 2 bedroom means it can not be broken down into seperate 1 bedroom and studio units. A "lock off" means the studio or second bedroom portion of the unit can function on its own without coming through the main living area of the 1 bedroom villa. OKW has the most dedicated 2 bedrooms. All units are lock offs in BWV as are most in VWL and BCV.

a dedicated studio is generally quieter than a lock-off studio - there is no noisey from under the doors to the 1-bedroom.

it varies with the 1-bedroom - unless you have very noisey people in the studio - you might not hear anything with a lock-off - but if you have kids that sleep in the livingroom - if possible I would suggest a 1-bedroom dedicated.

I had requested a "lock off" at 11 months out because we were travelling with a family that had a different "schedule" than ours. I had wanted each of us to have our own "space" and not have to use our portion of the area as a "common" area since we were also using the pull out sofa. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were given a dedicated room so that the other family would have been using the kitchen area at all hours of the day/night. I immediately went down to the fron desk and requested the rooms I had reserved (2BR lock off) After a wait and a change of rooms, we got what we wanted!

Does the studio portion of a dedicated unit still have its own small kitchenette?

yes!

all the studios have the same equipment - there is just not a door to the 1-bedroom side.

In the VWL dedicated - they seem to give you an extra closet in their dedicated studios.

If it's a dedicated studio, then yes. However, if you are talking about the second bedroom to a two-bedroom dedicated villa, then no, it will not have a kitchenette.
