What does "Bounceback" mean?

Bounce back offers are those the resorts offer to guests currently staying onsight to book their next WDW trip at some discount. For example, last September during free dining I was able to book a bounce back for this upcoming September to also include free dining.
I know other people have recently gotten bounce back offers for some percentage off their next WDW booking, 20, 30% I think.
