Okay, so we're going to WDW for the first time (my only other trip was our honeymoon in 95) as a family this November. Yeah! :cool1: I am confused though about dining reservations. I understand that you need to call ahead 180 days at 7am sharp to get the good restaurants and the best times. A CM told me today that I needed to call back 180 days plus 10 (since I will be staying at a disney resort). What is plus 10? :confused:I check in on Sunday November 25th and really want the first available seating for lunch at CRT for Tues. Nov.27. So, when is it I'm supposed to be calling? Can anyone out there help a WDW newbie???:scared:

180 + 10 means you can call in and make ADRs 180 days from your check-in date and an additional 10 days after. For example, you are checking in on 11/10/07 and the 180 day mark is 05/10/07 -- you could call today and make reservations through 11/20/07 without having to call back each day.

Your 180 call day is May 29. I just checked the ADR Calculator.

On May 29, you can make all your ADRs up to 10 days worth.

However, for CRT, you might not have a big selection at 180 days from check in as they hold about 80% of the tables back till the true 180 day mark so if you can't get a good time on May 29, call back on May 31 for CRT and you will have more times to choose from.

Thanks to both of you for getting back to me so quickly! The last time my DH and I were there, 12 years ago, you didn't need to have any reservations! :confused3 So this is all new to me. I was thinking of reserving CP for 8am, LTT, Le Cellier (I'm Canadian eh!), O'Hana breakfast (boys love Stitch!), Sci-Fi, and CRT since we ate there on our honeymoon. Since this is my DD8 and DD5's (will turn 6 while we're there) first trip, I really want to get those character meals as much as possible. DH isin't thrilled about going to other resorts to eat :sad2: (I insisted on Polynesian to meet Stitch though). So, how do my choices look to all you experts of there? Thanks again!
