Always wanted to start this discussion.

Pecos Bill has to be my favorite spot because, let's face it, you order your burger and you can get as many toppings as you want.

I usually load my burger and make a little salad on the side.

What's the most unique thing you have done with the toppings and is there any place like Pecos that I am totally missing!!!!

Well, as nice as the fixings bar is, I'd really rather start with a good burger. popcorn::

But it is nice to be able to put cheese on your fries.

Buy a burger ...put on lettuce tomato if they look good, then mushrooms pickles, grilled onions maybe some catsup or mustard

put some cheesy stuff on ds's fries ...usually end up spraying that on my shirt...thats about all I do

I put what condiments I want on my burger or taco salad and then I sit down and eat. Really, what else is there - that's what the bar is for.

Why don't you try Cosmic Rays. They also have this type of bar(only on one of the bars).

DH is a taco salad lover....to the extreme. He loves PB because of all the toppings, he puts every single thing in the salad except the pickles...those go on the side LOL

It used to be even better when you could order a double cheeseburger, you could make one huge burger and order an extra bun (which you can do) and end up with two huge burgers.

They have as much? Will have to check it out.

Sauted onions and mushroom, hot melted cheese, etc. It's really got quite a lot. There is a small bar, not anywhere near as nice to the right of the doors on the side by raceway. If you go just past the enclosed room with Sunny Eclipse it's on the right.

I remember your dining report and he had pickles all the time :D

I get a single burger w/ 3 tomato slices, lettuce, diced onion, little mayo & ketchup!! Cheese w/ my fries. They always have fresh produce. Me & my whole family agree these are awesome burgers. I always stop here a few times on any vacation to WDW. :cloud9:

I just put the toppings I want on my burger, I don't try to make anything else out of them. If I wanted a salad I'd just pay for it rather than trying to cobble it together from a pile of condiments not intended to be used in that manner.

Last time we went to PB's I got a burger, cut in half, and on one half I put mayo, lettuce, lots of tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, and pickles. The other half I put grilled onions, mushrooms, and cheesy sauce. Both were yummy, but DH had to help eat it! My DD and I both wondered how we didn't see the taco salad and will be sure to try it on the next trip! All the kids love dipping their fries in cheese sauce too. :thumbsup2

My in laws on their last trip brought in frito chips (corn chips) and asked to purchase a trip to the topping bar to make some kind of nachos, they said no charge go ahead (of course they ordered a meal there too) so my mother in law had nachos from there.

Im a vegetarian and get sick of veggie burgers there so last time I bough a bun and made cheese sandwiches out of them (for dd3 and me) and had the toppings on the side as a salad. I dont feel it is stealing the toppings if they are there for you to use. DD3 doesnt like lettuce on her sandwich but rather a small scoop on the plate.

I do like the sourkraut at Caseys too, it is pretty good.

Saw that one coming when I read the question! LOL oh well, can't wait! 25 days (added 2 nights room-only before package) and we will be there, Pecos Bills is on our list of CS places to check out.

Love Pecos Bills, can get the family to go. However, Cosmic Ray's has a similar toppings bar and more selections for food. So that's the compromise. However, I do miss all the little separate dining rooms at Pecos Bills.

This is just Cheap. Pay for a salad if you want one and buy a taco salad if you want mexican instead of bringing your own fritos. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh, but I never heard of going on vacation and bringing tons of food with you from home.

The point is that it is a toppings bar...not a salad bar. And you can count on it disappearing if food costs become out of line for a toppings bar.

Out of all the places you can get burgers in WDW this is my favorite because of the toppings bar. I did find one thing annoying on our trip there however and that was that the only tomatoes they had were sliced and I had a taco salad so it would have been nice to have diced tomatoes instead. But its not really that big of a deal.
