What do you wish you had done last time?

For those of you who have been to UO, what would you do differently next time?

I have been 3 times and have never taken the time to just soak in the atmosphere in the parks or the hotels.

Also, we seem to skip going to shows and ride instead. Next time I want to see all the shows.

What about you guys?

Nan

Nan,
My feelings are similar to yours. I would like to take time to just soak it all in. There's so much to see by just sitting still and looking in IOA. All the little details to the theming. I did the shows at IOA, but not at US. I would also like more down time at the pool. ALSO, I have never been over to see PBH and I'd like to go explore over there and have a meal there.

We were at IOA and US in March 2002 and it was so cold we weren't able to do any of the water rides so that's a priority when we are there in August. Seems like everytime we go down to Florida we RUN from the moment we get there till the moment we leave. This year I've planned a very relaxing trip....8 days at HRH! We have lots of "down" time planned to enjoy the pool and hotel. Mornings at the park with FOTL will allow us to go to all the shows we missed last year. We have 2 Disney days in the mix in between our down days and a water park day as well.

I guess what we missed that I'm really looking forward to is relaxing and enjoying the little things. Of course, riding Spiderman 500 times is fun to ;)

--sample every flavor of margarita at Margaritaville
--sleeping in till whenever the eyelids flap open, no wakey!
--trying new restuarants, the tired and true are out this trip!
--catch more street shows
--enjoy the playgrounds

Now we're talking. Wife and I had a virgin Pina Coloda at Margaritaville on our way out last time before driving home. They've got it down to a science. There's this huge ice machine that drops the ice into a blender. The bar tender shoots some mix from a dispenser, blends, and serves it up in seconds. It was gooooood.

My wish is to do the buzz ride tour one day. We've found that happy hour starts at the watering hole next to JPRA at 2pm. Then the Alcehemy bar would be at 3pm, then backwater bar near the front of the park.

Sounds like a great DIS meet idea! LOL

I wish we had stayed onsite last year, but I'm fixin that this year with 3 nights at HRH! Last year was our first time for US/IOA now we cannot go only to WDW ever again.

We had bad luck catching shows.... either they had just started or were not for a while...

I want to see the horror makeup show and the wildwest show - also - do they do anything out in the water at Universal? Like a water skiing show or anything?

Thanx

There use to be a water show but was cancelled a couple years back. I was kinda hoping something would be in place this summer.

I've always wanted to see if Dragon Scale Ale was still served in the bars at IOA.
