What do you want rereleased?

As Yavn stated, they will be rereleasing some rare items. And they will be rereleasing some costumes. I want (the ones with the star are the ones i want the most):
-Stitch Hat (like thats going to happen)*
-Inferno (again, like thats going to happen)*
-Green Flips (like thats going to happen)
-Bat and Snowman Magic*
-Rare hats*
-Rare furnishing

For Halloween:
-Cowboy(all colors)*
-Haunted Mansion(all colors)*
-Princess Dresses(all colors)*
-Explorer(all colors)
-Chief

The only reason you want those things to be realesed is because you do not have them. Well... I do not either but it does not bother me. I know that some people have rarer stuff than me and I can live with that. I've tried my best to get that stuff but have no such luck. Maybe Someday I will and maybe not. But I do not want them to be realesed.

Well said. And how can they release Stitch and Inferno again when it was never sold anyway? And yes you want all that great stuff because it's rare and you don't have it. I am confused..

Everyone wants rares but when everyone has rares it's not rare anymore lol And yavn never said that.

I would love to see more princess dresses along with the tiara. Someone mentioned an Alice costume and I think that would be great also. Really anything would be nice.

HM Hat and black pants
Cowboy hat, pants, boots
Gold dress

But not because they are rare, and not for trades. I want them to wear... I think that stuff is adorable. If I miss out... I'll survive.

I will most likely buy one of each (unless I think it is too cute to take the chance of having only one) of the costumes I like when they come out. I enjoy VMK by making my character look cute and socializing with my friends.
Not by collecting all this rare and stuff.

Bravo!! I dont have green flips stitch or inferno but can see stuff needs to stay rare too. Sure I want them but if I wanted them enough I would trade.

Just like in the debate over whether or not Inferno should be sold for 75,000 credits, if they price it high enough, not everyone will have it anyway.

Anyway, I'm not a big costume person, so I don't care which costumes are re-released. I'd rather see old pins re-released personally. Like other people said, I like the idea of bat and snowman magic being re-released. I need bat magic to help complete my pin collection, because I can't get the green car pin without the bat.

Not try to get the most and rarest stuff... it's just a few pixels, no matter how cliche that sounds. The friendships and memories are whats really important.

The problem I see are people like you who try to make their views more important then others. Why is it just a few pixels? We are made of pixels so that is besides the point.

And that's fine you just like to make cool rooms and dress up. Some just want to win every award under the sun, some want friends, some love collecting rares and so on. We're all here for a different purpose. Just recognize that and stop trying to package collectors up as greedy in some selfish tube.

I collect Barbie dolls and only the ones sold in limited numbers and for some events. I have every Holiday Barbie since 1998 and if Mattel ever released them again yes I would be upset. They never will because that is the market, collectors. Some girls like them to have fun and play with or dont care about the rarity but I do. Do I disrepect or make fun of them? NO do they me? NO! We both realize that we love Barbie but for different reasons. She loves to play and I love to collect and display them in my room behind a glass case and have my friends admire the beauty.

My Barbies are porcelain, hand painted and gorgeous. Bob Mackie and Vera Wang costumes, hand crafted. I love collecting them because they are beautiful and rare. There is nothing wrong with this so why is it so hard to understand in VMK? I am not greedy or selfish but I wont give away a $600 doll to someone lol

Some people take pride in collecting and enjoy having something that is so rare. I am proud of my dolls because I worked hard to collect them and people want them because they are so rare and valuable. Whether it's a few pixels on your screen or a plastic doll, some items bring value and joy to us. Dont shoot me down.

You removed your post on the other thread, but I did reply there to it so I won't rehash what I said. There is nothing wrong with wanting your things to be rare. However, you have to realize that not everyone shares your opinion. Therefore, you need to be considerate of those who do not share your views. I, too, am a doll collector with many rare dolls, but VMK is a game. There is no monetary value here unless you are selling something on ebay. The game is supposed to be fun and for the kids. Whether someone considers you greedy or not isn't the point. Being respectful of others and their differing opinions is the point.

I would like a couple of the costumes. Mostly cowboy but I actually prefer the unreleased RED shirt, so that would make the original cowboy owners happier, and I loved the Gold dress best from the moment I saw it before I read it was rare or even knew you couldn't buy it. I also like the blue dress top and shoes with black HM pants and hat, but that's not high on my list. I'd be just as happy with a new color, preferably not lavender since it would be so close to pink and there's too much of that.

Furniture? Hmm, Christmas items are really the only thing I want badly, and we know there will be new if not old ones, so it doesn't matter to me which it is as long as I can decorate for the holidays. I don't care for Halloween but the web dividers are cool (especially when used as a volleyball net )

Magic -- gotta have Snow!! DD just got it, but I don't know how often she'll share. Certainly not enough to make me happy in winter.

Rereleasing can be done for short periods like a weekend or host quest and still keep most of it's rarity, while letting some of us newer players have a chance. Like the Christmas in July. Though that was before I started playing host games. The tiki quests were a bit too often to keep things rare, but i don't know that they were considered rare to begin with.

Just food for thought: on the VMK homepage, roughly 85% of players think that rare items should be made available at least a couple of times a year. Personally, I would love to see that. To me, something is not made more valuable by knowing that someone else wants it and does not have it. Quite the opposite.

But, now to address the point of this thread: what i would like to see re-released. Well, Haunted Mansion stuff, of course! (gee, do you think I like the mansion?) Suits, rooms, clocks, new costumes, furniture, pins - bring em all on. I love that mansion.

You must be allowed to post your true feelings BUT no one else can post their true feelings. Alright we get it!! You like Rare for Rare sake, but not all of us do.

I would like to see everything re-released over time. The reason is, I really don't like to trade and I get peppered with trade requests any time I display a rare item. I hate negotiating a trade in the game. That's why I don't have most of the rare items. Trading in the game just isn't fun for me. Note this goes completely against my behavior in real life where I negotiate trades and such quite often.

It would be wonderful to have the trading aspect of of the game be less important. I don't want to get rid of trading entirely, I just want it to be a smaller part of the game. I would want the items to be somewhat expensive and released only once or twice a year just to keep trading a viable option for those of you who do enjoy that aspect of the game.

Yes, I'm selfish. I do want to make the game more pleasant for me at the expense of everyone who collects rare items just because they are rare. I am willing to compromise a bit though.

But This is a very common statement. Why is it that so many people say this?

Why do people feel the need to be selfish?! Why can't everyone have what they want? It's a game for children for crying out loud.
It is a game with no monetary value to anyone except Disney (except those that made it so with ebay, but I won't go into that topic ).

If you want to feel pride in collecting rare stuff, then do so with real items. It's getting to the point where there are people collecting the "rare" in VMK and then lording it over the children who don't have it. People going "haha! I have this and you don't!". Would you like this to happen to your child? To you? It's sad, mean and selfish. And it's just plain wrong.

Now, back to the regularly scheduled thread...
I would like to see almost everything rereleased. I have traded away most of the Halloween items that I put into storage after last Halloween (that are not still being used).
Even with what "rare" stuff I have, I would never be upset with any re-releasing of items. No matter how much I may have traded for those items. It's just a bunch of pixels on a screen that I have no real money tied to.

I would also like to see new items and never before released items like the red cowboy and the brown HM suit.
