What do you use instead of fanny pack

Lesportsac used to make a small cross-body bag that's become my default go-to for WDW days in place of the old fanny pack. It's hands-free and lightweight enough that it doesn't bog me down, but still holds what I need it to.

I don't remember the name of the design and they don't seem to have it currently on their website, but see here for scale:

I use a writlet. It holds my camera or phone, ID, park ticket, room key, TIW card and some cash. I don't really need much else in the parks. It's small and can fit in DH's pocket so we can by-pass the bag search. It's literally at my fingertips and because of the strap, I can be hands free and it's secure on fast moving rides.

I use a Vera Bradley Crossbody bag the mini one, and I have a another Vera Bradley that I carry, it to is very small ( not sure of the style name). I prefer a bag with a long strap for me it is just easier to get into, and move around on rides, or keep in my lap at QS stops. Both will hold a camera, glass case, contact case, Phone, foldable hairbrush, chap stick and then I have a small matching zippered ID or wallet for money, cards, and KTTW cards in:goodvibes. All fits in just fine.

My DD found this super cute Wallet Purse, she can use it as a crossbody or a belt. It has very long moveable straps. Which is great for evening at the parks. She found it at Ross or Marshall, one of those type stores. It will hold her phone, and small Id case - for money and cards. We look for more everytime we go out shopping, but we have only found that one, but we will keep looking. She is getting married in March 2013, and wants another one for her Mickeymoon.

My DH - wears cargo shorts, I can't belivie how much stuff you can put in those pockets, so a couple of years ago I bought a pair, now I wear then as well, especially to the parks during the day.

*** Just a note or thought really, I carry a plastic baggie in my purse for water rides to put my camera in. I also bought a camera case that has a large hook on it and I can attach it to my shorts belt loops and get to the camera easier.

I usually bring my small Vera Bradley backpack and a drawstring backpack to Florida...the drawstring is in case of rain, don't want a soggy Vera bag. I carry iPhone, ponchos, large wallet and eyeglass cases (mine and my DH) plus there is still room for DH wallet and even small gifts or even a lightweight jacket.

I use a Baggallini Triple Zip. It's very lightweight & offers great organization. I prefer crossbody bags to backpacks because you can sit on rides and hold the bag on your lap without having to take the bag off.

I have always been a fanny pack kinda girl. However, on my last trip I used a lanyard with a clear id holder on the end to hold my passes, room key, id and money. Phone in one pocket and camera in the other pocket. I loved it! I dont think I will ever go back!

Me too! Got my husband a lanyard also. He said he couldn't have done without it. Definitely recommend a lanyard with a clear ID holder.

I have never used anything but a fanny pack, and they have always worked perfectly. No shoulder or back pain from a cross body bag or back pack.Easy access. Lots of people wear them at WDW, so you wont be geeky by yourself! I just yesterday went to a sporting goods store and bought a new fanny pack. WDW is the ONLY place I use them, but to me, they are the best thing. I bought one that has a small zippered pocket on the front where I will keep just my fast pass. That way I know where it is and can access it instantly, and I dont have to worry about losing it during one of the many times thru out the day I have to access cash or the rest of my stuff. Then, there is a larger main pocket for my camera, sunglasses, sunblock. Inside that main pocket, is another zippered compartment where my cash fits perfectly...no worries about losing that when I whip out the sunglasses. Dont be afraid to wear a fannypack...no one is there to critique your fashion style, we are all about seeing as much as we can, having a wonderful time, and carrying the few things we need as easily as possible! I am plagued with neck and shoulder pain after carrying a crossbody bag for a day or two for so many hours. That is my usual purse of choice for day to day life, but in the parks? Just doesnt work for me. Whatever you decide, pack light and have a wonderful vacation!!!!

I plan on using a Lesport Sac Kasey crossbody
Nice cute pattern and it is water resistant :goodvibes

I have the large Vera Bradley hipster and love it. First off its a light weight purse to begin with and it have lots of room. I can even fit a 16oz water in it. Is is comfy to where cross body style.

For small stuff I've used a leg wallet for years (backpacking across Europe - room keys - etc) for larger things a leg holster bag works and looks kind of cool

I use a very lightweight drawstring backpack.
I also use a lanyard with a clear plastic holder for my Annual Pass, Fastpasses and money.

this trip I will be using a spi-belt. I can fit my iphone and my id/room key/credit cards in it and hide it under my shirt around my waist. It's AMAZING! :woohoo:

Way back in 1999 Disney was giving away your choice of several items as a perk for booking a package. (pre-dining plans!) The item I chose was a backpack that had the disney Quest logo on it. It is soft, not "formed" and roomy. It has a strap that you can zip apart to wear like a regular backpack or when zipped it slings over one shoulder. It has a separate zipper area on the outside as well. We can put whatever we want in there including rain panchos, sunscreen, glass cases etc. We take it every trip and it has held up really well. I realize you can't get the same thing I have, but this was just to let you know a soft backpack really gets the job done.:thumbsup2

When we go back to the parks in the evening, I just bring my small wallet/purse that I wear cross body. I also have a lanyard with the plastic holder for my KTTW and fast passes. But I agree that if you want to wear the fanny pack, go ahead. No one will think a thing of it!:goodvibes

I use the Vera Bradley hipster each time I go to the parks and it's fabulous! It holds everything I need to without being too bulky. I love the hands free aspect of it and the fact that there are so many cute patterns. :)

Yesterday I purchased a new crossbody bag for my upcoming trip:cool1:. Was tired of my old bag, it was too big. And with too big, comes too many unnecessary things in my bag.

The new bag is made by Lily Bloom - and it's made of recycled plastic bottles :thumbsup2. I love the pockets on the front, good for small things that I reach for frequently.

I love the pattern!
