I've noticed a lot of introduction threads here of late, and I was wondering: would it be easier for our new members to have a sticky on the VMK board in which to introduce themselves? Maybe I'm just weird, but I know that whenever I've joined a new forum, I'm most comfortable posting in a designated spot such as a sticky. That way I know that I'm posting in the right area. I always hesitate to introduce myself when I'm not sure I'm doing it right. We wouldn't have to limit introductions to that thread alone, some people like making new threads, but I was just wondering if it'd make it easier for our new members to have a "for-sure" spot to let everyone know who they are
Please let me know what you think- this may or may not be a good idea...just thought I'd put it out there.

I think that a sticky for new members, to post a introduction of themselves, is quite helpful. Some, may feel quite unsure about posting at first and in this way, they will not just be lurking around the boards but maybe more involved. Although on the other hand, those sticky notes are getting longer and longer and not everyone introduces themselves. I know myself, when I added my name, that is where I made my introduction. I noticed alot of others do that as well so I guess maybe there is already a place to introduce yourself. Maybe the title can just be changed, to add your name and introduce yourself...lol....dunno
