I have a dilemma.... My DH and I have a surprise trip in the works- we are planning on taking my mother and father in-law to Disney World for their 30th anniversary. The problem is- I'm having a really hard time deciding where we want to stay.

I have narrowed it down to the following:

All Star Music
Port Orleans- Riverside
Caribbean Beach
Fort Wilderness (Cabin)

For further info- this will be DH and my third trip to the world, my mom-in-law's second trip, and my father-in-law's first trip. DH and I are 25, Mom and Dad-in-law are both 50.

We will be staying for 7 nights.

If we decide on ASMu, PO-R, or CBR, we will have two rooms... this equals two bathrooms. If we decide on Ft Wilderness, we will have one Wilderness Cabin... one bathroom.

We are planning on purchasing the Dream Maker- Silver Plan, so a kitchen really isn't a priority.

Also, we are undecided as to whether or not we will be renting a car.

So... what do all you pros think?

I voted for ASMu, but I would pay the extra for a closser room. It's not not like you are going to be using the slide at the pool.

Uh-oh, maybe you will. If the pool slide is an important issure then go with Riverside. I liked the pool there a lot. Both CRB and POR can be big.

Have fun, no matter what you do!

You're right, eller... we probably won't bother with the waterslides. If we were to choose the ASMu, then we would get the preferred view.

Thanks for your input!

I do not think 4 adults in an FW cabin would work that well especially since Parents trip as well.

I suspect 4 adults would appreciate having two bathrooms

Staying at FW would require car

Also noticed where you are staying for your 04 trip - POR and deluxe as well and figured for this time stay at All Stars

Now, if the parents are the "quiet type" then I would go POR as All Stars can get pretty busy!!!

Thanks
Jason

I vote POR. It's a smaller resort and the boat shuttle to Downtown Disney is great.

I like the Caribbean Beach Resort for the theming and layout. It's a bright resort. There are several pools so if the main pool is crowded, you can go to the pool in "your island." There are nice walkways, hammocks on the beaches to relax on, boat and bike activities and a large food court. I also am pretty fond of the Banana Cabana, the poolside bar;) .

Have fun!

I voted for POR. I think that for your situation it would be very romantic. The boat ride to DD for nightly entertainment would be wonderful. I really love this resort. And two rooms would be a great idea. They could be connecting if you want. So, I say, go for POR in Magnolia Bend.

Chose POR because of it's theme, proximity to DTD by boat. My parents are a little older than yours, but this is the resort that they would enjoy most. There are beautiful paths to walk, and fewer children. If you don't have children with you, I would recommend that you stay at a moderate or deluxe. My next vote would be AKL, because it is so different and interesting. There are wonderful restaurants there.

I voted for CBR, since I see you already have plans to stay at PO-R.
