Week befofe last at Pop Century my wife heard an an American lady call after her toddler son "Disney.hold up,wait there". Would not choose this as a name ourselves,much as we love the mouse,just wondered what anyone else thinks.

I don't think I'd ever take it that far. I know DH wouldn't go for it. He likes very usual names nothing out of the ordinary. Interesting though.

There be loads of people round 'yere in Devon with the surname Disney.

I believe it was originally a French name, signifying one came from the town of Isney.....? As in D'Isney (From Isney)

Yes I have seen it as a surname, never a first name though
