My husband is reading the book "Time Management for System Administrators". There is a quote in a section about "amusement park time management" that says, "For example, Disneyland varies the opening time throughout the year. There is a phone number to call to find out tomorrow's opening time. Whatever time this says, show up an hour earlier and you'll find the gate open. It's true!"
It says Disneyland, but does anyone know if it works this way at DisneyWorld also?

I know typically at Disneyland you can get into the park before the posted opening time, but that is kind of misleading. You can usually get onto main street, but nothing (stores or attractions) is open, and you usually cannot get past the "hub" area. That is why you hear most people talk about the "rope drop." You get to the end of main street and there is a rope across the street. When the rope "drops" the attractions are officially open.
