Okay, I have made and changed plans about a dozen times for our trip in Oct. Here is what I have currently, and I think I like it. I figured I'd toss it out there and see if there are any problems I'm not seeing. Group is me, DH, DMIL, 2 Dds ages 5 and 7. We have 3 day PHP passes, and MNSSHP tickets. TIA!

Sat. 10/4:
Arrive TPA at 12 noon. Drive to HIFS, and tour the hotel, relax for a few hours. Dinner at 1900 Park Fare at 6:30, hopefully stroll down to the beach and catch the MK fireworks after dinner.
Sun. 10/5:
Free time! Enjoy the pool and the hotel activities in the AM and early afternoon. Head to MK around 4:30 for LTT dinner (5:10), then MNSSHP.
Mon 10/6:
Typhoon Lagoon, or Blizzard Beach (haven't decided yet). Do we have to get there for opening (Kids will have been up late the night before)? Stay until we're exhausted, grab a quick dinner on the road, or back at the hotel. Kids activities as time allows.
Tue 10/7:
MK, all day! Stop at Macaroni Grill (I have a GC) for dinner on the way back. Kids activities.
Wed 10/8:
Free time! Swim, relax at hotel, head to DTD early afternoon for touring, shopping, and dinner at Rainforest Cafe (Another GC). Kids activities.
Th. 10/9:
MGM all day. After park, dinner at Bahama Breeze (another GC). you guessed it, kids activities at night.
Fri 10/10:
Sleep in (yeah, right!), relax until afternoon. Head to Fort Wilderness for petting zoo, pony rides, dinner at Trail's End, Campfire and Movie.
Sat 10/11:
Animal Kingdom all day, quick counter service dinner (Flame Tree?), head to Epcot for TT, HISTA, and Illuminations.
Sun 10/12:
Finish up any shopping or touring we want to do, or else just relax at the hotel and let the kids enjoy the pool one last time. Around 3:30 head for TPA for our 6 PM flight home. :(

It sounds like a great plan. You have lots of free time planned. My only suggestion would be to go to Epcot after a 1/2 day at AK. Unless your kids are really into everything at the park, you can easily get it done in a 1/2 day. While at Epcot, you easily could spend two days in the park, but one will suffice. I would get to AK at opening and head over to Epcot right before lunch. There are some great counter service restaurants there.

I like the pace of World Showcase. There are a lot of little hidden attractions that appeal to kids. You can read about them in a guidebook on on this board. My son just liked looking around and having more freedom to roam than at the other parks.

Sounds good to me!! It looks like you've put a lot of thought into this plan! Wish I was going!!

 Have a Great Trip!

Thanks for the replies.

Actually I wanted to do a full day at Epcot, since our last trip we only did Future World. I thought for sure my MIL would like to do the World Showcase, as would I, but I was outnumbered. My family just isn't really interested in Epcot.

MrsMud- we will be there at the same time!!!

I second the motion to try and squeeze Epcot in after AK. My reasoning- it is your last night in the world, and how wonderful to top it off with Illuminations!!! Go to AK, see all you want to see, head over to Epcot in the afternoon, grab some fun snacks from around the world (come on, who doesn't love a pastry or candy- resort to bribery if you must!);) , maybe a counter service dinner and grab a seat for a FANTASTIC fireworks show! I guarantee your family will be glad you dragged them to Epcot. :)

Okay-----big DUH moment for me! I didn't read your last sentence for Saturday---you already have Illuminations down! I feel like a complete dork. Sorry!

When I saw your dates I just had to check our itinerary. I found some crossovers-- We will also be in MK on 10/7 and in MGM on 10/9! I will have my lime green ribbon pinned to my shirt. It would be neat to meet some fellow DISers while down there.
Happy packing, see you at our single digit dance party!

We'll be there at the same time too.

We arrive on the 3rd late at night and are planning on MK on Saturday, but starting out late-ish since we'll be tired, but staying late for Spectro & Fireworks.

Sunday at Epcot.

Monday at AK, that evening we have Hoop dee Doo, kind of bummed bc I just heard that's the first showing of Wishes, but we cannot change the Hoop dee Doo ressie again!

Tuesday will either be MGM or Typhoon Lagoon

Weds. is wide open until we leave around 7 pm. - I think we'll go back to whatever the kids decided was their favorite.

Any comments?

McNuss- We will be at AK and MGM on the same days. Funny! I will have a lime green Mickey head in my Passpocket holder.

My itinerary is this:

Friday- arrive, unpack, relax, maybe Downtown Disney

Saturday- Epcot in AM, MGM in PM (Fantasmic!)

Sunday- MK all day, Boma for dinner

Monday- AK all day, Cape May Cafe for dinner

Tuesday- MGM in AM, Epcot in PM (Illuminations)

Wednesday- Seaworld in AM, Blizzard Beach in mid afternoon, Downtown Disney in PM

Thursday- MK until we have to leave at 2 or so. :(
