What do you think of these plans for my family of five, including kids aged 13, 10 and 5? BTW, we're staying at POFQ, and will probably eat breakfast there....

Day #1 (arrival... dont' want to use park passes) Chef Mickey's.

Day #2 :Lunch at Columbia Harbor House. Dinner at Sci Fi before Fantasmic (never tried this place. Have tried MM, and 50's PTC is closed on this day)

Day #3: Lunch at Tusker House, 5:00 PS at Crystal Palace (MK has parades and fireworks at 7:00 on this night).

Day #4: Lunch at MGM, Dinner at Japanese counter service in Epcot.

Day #5: No park day. Lunch at Cheesecake factory in DQuest, Dinner PS's at Boma at AKL (wanted to stay here, but with the 5 of us it would have required a $300 per night suite! Yikes!).

Day #6: Breakfast at Cindy's. Counter service dinner in Epcot, either Mexico or Morocco.

Day #7: Dinner PS at Spoodles.

Day #8: ??

We may not keep all these PS's, but it sure is fun to dream about it!

Looks like you have included alot of restuarants I will be dining at also!!! :D :D
The only restaurant I dont care for on your list is Sci Fi. It seems people either love it or hate and I am part of the latter. :(

Have fun deciding what to keep!!

Sounds good! :) I noticed that you weren't planning for a sit-down meal at Epcot. Epcot has some of the best restaurants in WDW. Just a thought! :wave2:

That's true about Epcot, but...

Most of the sit-downs are a tad too formal for our 5 year old hellion. I end up spending a good amount of $$ to feel frustrated and stressed.

The counter services there offer a good taste of the food, in a more relaxed setting.

Although... i *am* dying to try Le Cellier!

Maybe we'll do that instead of Spoodles. If my sister joins us for part of the week and babysits for a night, I will definitely plan on Le Cellier.

I highly recommend Le Cellier! I don't think it is any more expensive than Spoodles and just as cozy so that your 5 year old is welcome. Their kids meals were good and reasonable. I saw on the boards someone who brought in MC donalds to LeCellier for thier younger ones and had no problems.
I beleiver there is a McDonalds stand right near Canada.

Just wondering why you didn't go with a Fantasmic dinner package? We are trying Hollywood and Vine. Hope we like it!

You'll enjoy Yakatori House (counter service in Japan). I think I'm it's number one fan! Our kids love it here, beautiful gardens with koi fish. And Mom and Dad will like the Kirn (sp?) beer. Yum!

I also agree about at least doing one sit-down at Epcot. My choice would be Restaurant Akershus. The food is awesome. They have a nice peanutbutter and jelly sandwich with grapes for your little one, then the absolute best dessert for "a little hellion". They bring out a huge sugar cookie in the shape of a troll - with edible paint! Our kids loved this and DH and I enjoyed our meal without a hassle. And good beer here, too! Ringnes, I think.

Enjoy!

I've ate at Sci-Fi several times. I would do lunch instead of dinner there. The only things that are ok really are the sandwiches and burgers. They do not have burgers at night as far as I know.

Sci Fi, just ate there and the two gals I went with pictured below had the Chicken Gargonzola Sandwich with fries and a drink. I opted for the Chili, fries and a water. My bill was 7.00. Their bill was 20.00. The Chili was decent and it was a filling meal on a rainy day. Not bad at all.

I agree with the poster above, eat there for lunch. It's cute and fun.

We ate at Chef Mickey's for dinner, I really didn't like it, they went up to $26.99 per adult and I really felt like for that much there should have been a lot more choices, not sure what meal you were going for, and Iam sure a lot of people would probably disaggree with me on that, but we really didn't like what we ate.

I agree about Sci-fi do it at lunch, the food is nothing spectacular, but my burger was good, my dh's ribs, ok, the atmosphere here is superb though.

That is all I can really comment on because I haven't been to any of the others you listed. Enjoy your trip.
