What do you think of the new automated system?

I just called for dining reservations and the system is automated.
Not sure when this changed but i think its a little less annoying than the other one where you had to punch in 1000 things.
What do you think?
 
It is? I just called and booked mine with a live person not 30 minutes ago. However, I did book mine through DVC. Maybe automation is the first step toward online reservations. :thumbsup2
 
maybe they are testing a new automated system with random people???
 

I called yesterday and it was the same as usual...same prompt questions as well. :wizard:
 
The only change I've noticed is them not asking for your reservation number, only home phone number...

I know what you're talking about. Before when I called it was "Press 1 for Victoria & Alberts, 2 for.. etc." and now it is basically say "yes" or "no" to all the questions instead of pressing the buttons.

Personally I find it more annoying because I could before just press the button 2-1-1-1 etc. since I knew the answer by heart. Now you have to wait for it to finish asking the question before saying "no" or "yes". I said "no" in the middle of the voice asking if I wanted to make a res for V&A, and it started repeating it instead of sending me to the next step!
 
haven't tried it, but I agree that I had the old one memorized. Personally, I find the whole ten questions things really annoying, esp. since it's on MY DIME - and then you finally get a live CM and they ask for your phone number ALL OVER AGAIN! (at least under the old system...) ARGGGGGHHH!

I just called an hour and it was the usual "press 1..." prompts. I wonder why some people are getting the old prompts and some are getting the new ones.
 
When I called recently they had one of the voice systems which I absolutely hate. I'd rather just push the numbers.
