So, my husband (29) and I (24) are making our first trip to Disney since we were kids. Below is what we're thinking for our dining reservations (assuming we can get them all!). Let me know what you guys think!

Day One - Crystal Palace (dinner)
Day Two - Tappen Edo (dinner)
Day Three - Sci-Fi (lunch, OOP)
Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package (dinner)
Day Four - Big River Grille (dinner)
Day Five - O'Hana (dinner)

Also, assmuing we stick with those restaurants, what order would you make the ADRs?

Thanks in advance for all of your help/input!

everything sounds good except Big River Grille. I was really looking forward to it and it was the worst meal I ever had. Food stone cold, meals tastelss. They wouldn't let me get the potato of the day without ordering a special. The service was bad. We usually give a restaurant 2 trips to form an opinion but not this one. It has gotten a lot of bad reviews as we found out when we got home

Sounds like you've planned yourselves a GREAT trip. Everything sounds yummy, except I really haven't heard anything about Big River Grill. I don't even know where that is?

Have a wonderful trip!

What I like to do is look at the park hours and what will be happening at the parks each day, then decide which day to go to which park. Some people also buy memberships to touringplans.com or TourGuideMike, which gives you some additional info as to which parks will likely be most crowded on which days, based on when you're going. Once you know what park you want to be in, which day, then you'll be able to plan your ADRs accordingly.

Some people like to do a lot of park hopping, but I haven't gotten too into it yet since I have only been once in the last 25 years. I still feel like I need to spend a full day in each park (well, 2 at MK!). The places you picked make it pretty easy to plan the day at the park with the corresponding ADR.

When are you going? Make sure you know when your window for making ADRs is, so you'll have the best chance of getting what you want!

We're going in late June, so I believe I can make my ADR's in late March, right?

Also, the reason we are thinking Big River Grille, is because we wanted to go down to the boardwalk and head to Jellyrolls after dinner.

I am a little concerned with Day Three--not with your choices, but the fact that you plan lunch at Sci-Fi and then dinner at Mama Melrose for the Fantasmic Package. The times available for the package are usually early--4:00 to 5:30. This might be a bit too much after having lunch at Sci-Fi. Might I suggest you do a breakfast somewhere on Day three and skip Sci-Fi if you want the Fantasmic Package?

I agree with the above poster about Sci-fi/Mama Melrose. We didn't do the Fantasmic dinner package because the times were so much earlier than we're accustomed to eating. It would be tough to have both lunch and dinner if dinner is the package, IMO, though since you're paying for Sci-fi OOP you might be able to make it work by sharing an entree and/or skipping dessert to have a lighter lunch.

Thanks for the input! We were thinking of Sci-Fi because we both remember going there as kids and really enjoying the atmosphere. I think the idea of doing a light lunch/sharing is an excellent suggestion since we are paying OOP, it's a win-win situation! :thumbsup2

Congratulations. You have picked some of THE BEST restaurants in WDW. Of course, that's just my opinion :). I have eaten at almost all of WDW's restaurants and my most favorite meals are dinner at 'Ohanas and lunch at Sci-Fi.

Crystal Palace is really good (I highly recommend asking for a table off to the side or against a window, it can get pretty noisy in CP and we've found by waiting for a table not in the main area around the buffet it helped with the noise quite a bit).

We ate at Teppan Edo for the first time in November and it was our best TS meal of that trip. The service is excellent, as well as the food and atmosphere.

We ate at Mama Melrose's for dinner once. When we made the ADR (for 7 p.m.) we didn't realize the restaurant closes at 7. We had the best server (Holly) and she didn't make us feel rushed or anything. The menu is pretty limited but the food is delicious. I don't know why but the atmosphere kind of reminds me of Pizza Hut  in a good way.

I think your ADRs sound delicious! If you are wanting to eat at the BW area there are many options to choose from if BRG isn't getting the positive feedback you hoped for. We haven't done the dining plan, so I don't know which restaurants are covered, but you can look at the plan and menus and see what you might be interested in. All these are within walking distance of the BW, so you could choose any.

At Boardwalk - ESPN, Spoodles, Flying Fish
At YC - Yachtsman Steakhouse
At BC - Cape May Cafe, Beaches and Cream

There are probably more options around here, just threw out the ones I could think of off the top of my head. Enjoy! :goodvibes
