What do you think of ECCO shoes?

I got a pair of Ecco hiking boots for Christmas and I LOVE them. It seems that I'm always searching, unsuccessfully, for comfortable shoes, and boy, these certainly are super-comfortable. I was considering buying a pair of their shoes, but they're so expensive! Opinions, please-are they worth it?

Eccos are super comfortable. A BIG problem that I've had and so have both friends and family is that after a while, the foot bed stinks and stinks bad! No one could figure out the problem. We didn't do a lot of walking that would cause our feet to sweat, etc. These were sandals not closed in shoes. Over the years every so often I'd google to see what the problem was because these shoes were so comfortable there were more posts about the problem. Never did see a solution and have never bought another pair.

I own a few pairs now and have in the past and find them to be very comfortable. The only problem I have found is that the laces do not last long.
