What do you think of 50's Prime Time Cafe?

First time we had a very fun server. The second it was almost like any other diner in America. I think we tried it a third time, as there isn't much else in HS that appeals to us, and had an in-between server. I remember one of the times we had to wait well past our ADR.

The food is so-so. I prefer more interesting foods.

It's more a matter that there's a good number of OTHER places we prefer to dine. There's several great places to eat at the Epcot area resorts, so that's often what we pick instead.

We went last year and the milk shakes were included, just like wispering canyon. I hope that doesn't change because we are looking forward to it. We were on deluxe dinning last year and on regular dinning this year. I hope that don't make a difference. I know we won't get appatizer but we just got soup and onion rings last year can go without that no problem but my son loves the peanut butter and jelly shake. Also my hubby loves it there because they have REAL SWEET TEA!

Perhaps the milkshakes are still included, I don't know for sure. I thought I remembered our server saying they weren't but I could be wrong. I thought Prime Time was one of the places that did the "adult" milkshakes with alcohol or am I mixing it up with Sci-Fi?

Well, that might just be the explanation. Alcoholic drinks are never included on DDP - so maybe the plain ones are included, but not the ones with alcohol???

I can't speak to 50's, but places we ate on our last visit allowed smoothies and such. I haven't been to 50's in the last three years.

When you order a regular soft drink, you typically get free refills. If you order smoothies, milkshakes, etc you do not. So that's another difference.

I'm a bit annoyed with the whole one-menu thing they're doing now, because they got rid of the sandwiches. used to be a great place to sit at the bar and snag a sandwich for lunch.

The only way to get alcoholic beverages included on DDP is to do a dinner show. Alcoholic milkshakes are not included. That said I believe Prime Time does allow regular milkshakes on DDP but I can't remember if it's as a beverage, as a dessert, or both. no refills on milkshakes at Prime Time.

We went there back in 2008. My cousin who was 2 1/2 at the time was really shy and kept hiding behind my aunt. Our waitress didn't tease him or anything but my aunt did not finish her meal so she got fed choo choo train style and my cousin loved it!!

The pot roast and fried chicken are tasty and the experience is fun but it depends on your server. If you're looking for 4 star food, you won't find it here but then again it wouldn't be called a "diner" if it was! Just like Sci-Fi it's worth doing every once in a while!

I know alcohol is not included on the dining plan (aside from some of the dinner shows) but it would have been nice to have been offered the choice of the milkshakes. There was a smaller menu card, presumably with milkshakes and drinks on it, on other tables but we were never given it. Too bad, a pb&j milkshake sounds yummy!

We love this place. Our server (cousin) made my DD finish her green beans which she doesn't like but she was smiling and laughing the whole time. We will be going back on our next trip! Great atmosphere, service, and food!

We've been a few times. The very best time was in 2008. Our "cousin" was Loukali (sp?) from Morocco and we laughed so hard it hurt. He was the best. We were there last week and it was not nearly as fun. We waited 45 minutes from our reservation time and our server was boring. Dh said he doesn't want to go back on our next trip.
