Looking at different restaurants for our upcoming trip. How is 1900 Park Fare? I know it is at the Grand Floridian... do we need to dress up to go or is it acceptable to go right from the park. (You know, hair messy from the wind and rides, sneakers and shorts, etc) :wave2:

1900 Park Fare is a Character Buffet at the Grand Floridian. You do not need to dress up to go there. You can go directly from the park. Also, the food is pretty good. We like it.

It's a nice place with good food, one of the better buffets. Prime rib and strawberry soup were excellent. :cloud9:

You can definitely go straight from the parks, but if you want pics with the characters, I'd comb the hair first. ;)

Great choice! :goodvibes

We went for breakfast. It was the best buffet we have ever done.

We have had both breakfast and dinner at 1900 Park Fare and we loved them both. It is one of our favorites! You can go right from the park to dinner and feel very comfortable. Enjoy the strawberry soup, it is awesome!!

Have a great trip!!

Do you know how long the boat ride is to GF from MK?

Just a few mins, maybe 5 mins, I remember it being a pretty quick ride. It was a nice way to get over there for our dinner. We really enjoyed this meal. My DS11 was the only one of us who "dressed up" but to him that means he put a nice polyester print collared shirt over his white t-shirt. My DD7 and I wore whatever we had been wearing that day. I don't remember what exactly we wore, but it wasn't ratty or fancy, shorts or capris and a nice tshirt and we fit in just fine. There were some people who were dressier. There were also lots of lil girls in princess dresses. princess:

:confused3 So if you wanted to dress up a little bit for dinner in the evening that would be acceptable to? Thanks. dd12 would like to dress up a little. :thumbsup2

I think this is one of the better character meals.

Our last three trips we have eaten here twice. One was an adult visit and we didn't do any character meals. The other 2 times were with my Grandchildren. Once for breakfast and once for dinner. Both times were wonderful.

I think it would be just fine. There was a mix of all different kinds of clothes, shorts/tshirts, girls in princess outfits, some families were kind of dressy/casual like khakis, skirt, summer dress. I think really formal (other than a Cinderella or Princess Aurora dress ;) ) might seem "too formal" but getting a little dressed up your DD should fit right in. Have a great time!

:) 1900 Park Fare is must do place for me. As a matter of fact, i have it listed for going back there for dinner this summer.

This was one of my husbands favorite meals. He loved the food, and he is hard to please at buffets. He usually says it taste all the same, but this had really different stuff and very good!

Their breakfast buffet is great, and I have heard good things about the dinner buffet as well.

You don't have to dress up, in fact, when we went we went straight to the parks after breakfast.
