Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding ! I can feel your happiness and am glad to hear things are coming together. I agree with the Vogue pattern also. One or two long stem roses sound lovely. Your invites sound very creative! I wish I were there to help you, as I love sewing and being creative with special celebrations!!

When son and DIL were married 18 mos ago, DIL asked me to help with the invites, flowers and table centerpieces. I soooo enjoyed every minute!! She bought the wedding invites and printed, I added the ribbon touch. She decided on fresh gardenia nosegay, so I did two gardenia's w/ivy and also used gardenia's and ivy on their wedding cake. We had so much fun adding our own special touch being creative!!

I love doing creative stuff. This is the 4th wedding that I've done all the decorations and stuff for.

For my first wedding, I did all the bouquets, the centerpieces, the invitation, my wedding dress, the bridesmaids dresses, the wedding cake, the favors, and all other forms of decoration myself.

My mom's wedding, I did the bouquets, my mom's hat, the centerpieces, the favors, and helped with my mom's wedding dress. I also made her wedding scrapbook.

My sisters wedding, I did the invitations, the favors, the wedding cake, and the centerpieces.

I love creative stuff. I love crafts. I can dance, play the flute, guitar and piano, paint, draw, and do all sorts of crafts. Very much the artist.

I've never tried the invitation aging idea before. Heard of it, but not tried. I hope it works.

I had originally planned a bunch of stuff for my wedding but since the one we had planned isn't going to happen, most of its just sitting here for now. Let's see, I had made the original invitations (an embossed celtic knot with celtic font on the inside), the candle centerpieces (hmm, maybe I will use the candles for this wedding and set them up on the railing on the balcony for the ceremony), and the candles we were holding done.

*grins* My mom started a lifelong love of crafts. I've done them throughout my entire life.

And oh thank you for your well wishes. I think we really will be happy. He's a great man. With flaws yes. And I know it won't be perfect. But I am very lucky I think. And I hope he feels the same (he says he does).

Oh, I sent him the pic of the design of clothing I decided to wear (I tell him absolutely everything. He litterally is my best friend. Though my grandmother said I shouldn't have told him). He said he finds it very pretty and was surprised that I can sew like that. lol. I told him that it isn't that hard when you have instructions.
