What Do You Think is the Right Age to Wear Makeup?

totally agree with you on the little girls!!!
and yeee mac studio fix all the way!!!!!!! :cloud9:

i use all mac stuff now and i la la love it (except mascara cuz their mascara makes me eyes tired--it's too heavy) i either use the eyeliner gel (which i LOVE) or eyeliner marker (looks like a sharpie lol) and i use revelon mascara and berts bees on ma lips! haha

Mac's liquid eyeliner is awesome!! That's the kind I usually wear on special occasions, cause it goes on well over eyeshadow and it's easy to give myself a cat-eye thingy with =3 Have you ever tried any of Mac's eyeshadows?

i still don't wear makeup. i think younger girls definitely need help putting it on though. a lot of them have it on awful.

no i havent, i find them to be so $$$! i have the kat von d palette though with greens, browns & a wicked black that i love to use for special occasions! its so awesome!

i LOVE cat eyeeeesss!!! i use the gel liner to do that with an angled brush and it worked so perfectly!

I think I started wearing eyeshadow and mascara in like, 7th grade, and started wearing eyeliner last year (8th grade)... now I just kinda put on eyeliner like, half the time... but i don't go crazy over it...

I think that you should AT LEAST be in like 5th (at the least) or 6th grade, because young girls shouldn't feel like they have to wear makeup to be beautiful.... a little lip gloss or some light eyeshadow here or there isn't a problem, but eyeliner, mascara and dark lipstick on a 9 year old (noah cyrus :scared1:) just looks horrible! Little girls don't know how to apply it right, and it makes me sad to hear that little girls think they have to wear makeup to be loved or noticed :sad2: but that's just my opinion;)

I don't think there's an age per say, but I think starting to wear make-up around the 7th grade is fine.

I've been pretty blessed, I've never "needed" to wear make-up. I have great clear skin that I am sooooooooo thankful for. I don't really wear make-up that much. I wear a bit of cover-up when I get a rare blemish, and I wear mascara 4 out of 7 days on average.

The funny thng is, I LOVE<3 makeup! I could spend all day in Sephora and waste soo much money, but I don't really wear it.

I don't always wear make-up but when I do I usually just wear foundation, mascara, and eye shadow. I really hate taking it off at night so that's why I don't always wear it. And at school, I think that the people I'm with have seen me almost every day for like ten years so I don't feel like I have to impress them that much.

As for the right age, it depends on the person. If some people start wearing it too young, then they go way overboard on it. But not all people do that.

When I was about 1st grade on, I always wore pink lip gloss and a little bit of blush. It's the same now. I kind of hate mascara and eyeliner because it's so overused at my school, and I think it would irritate my eyes.

I saw a lil girl in 5th grade wearing bright red eyeshadow and tons of eyeliner..it looks so wrong.

I think i started wearing make up in 7th grade..just eyeliner.
Last year i used to do my makeup like Bill from Tokio Hotel.
Now i just wear it on top..

I wear light eyeshadow, mascara, liquid eyeliner, foundation, and lipstick. If my nose wasnt sunburnt then i wouldnt wear foundation..haha

I don't wear makeup.

I have naturally insane eyelashes and bought a tube of stiletto lash JUST BECAUSE xD
I wear mascara sometimes...

and maybe once a month i'll wear a REALLY light blue eyeshadow if it matches my outfit style

but nothing esle.

I'm not exactly pretty with or without makeup, so if it doesn't make a difference then why wear it?

i started wearing makeup when i was in about 6th grade, mascara & eyeliner.
i used to try all different kinds of makeup, but i think now i've figured out what looks good on me. :)

I never really have wore make-up. Never felt the need to. I only wear eye-shadow, blush, foundation, and a little eye liner for special occasions, like a school dance or something. The most I've ever put on was at one of my friend's sleepovers, and we decided to give each other a little makeover for fun.

As for the proper age, it depends on if the girl is ready for it. I personally think around 7th grade, but that's my opinion. It also depends on what the girl's parents think is appropriate.

WOW, today at my internship we had a 4th grade class on field trip (I intern at an aquarium), and one of the boys had eyeliner on... =/

I started experimenting with make-up when I was probably around 8 or 9. Like those cute sparkly lipgloss and eye shadow pallets for little girls.
In middle school I didn't wear much make-up, it wasn't until I was a freshman in HS that I started to wear make-up daily.
Throughout hig school it was normally just eyeliner, mascara and powder foundation, though.

Nowadays I wear liquid foundation, power, pencil eyeliner, liquid eyeliner, mascara, blush and lip gloss daily. I love my make-up. :goodvibes

I think when you start wearing make-up depends on the person. As long as they don't look like prosti-tots, I don't see a problem with girls 8-10 expirimenting with lipglosses and eyeshadows. Obv. not heavy make-up, but make-up geared towards their age group. Like stuff you'd find at Claire's.

I started wearing make-up when I started Secondary School (11/12)
When I was younger I never really cared about things like that, but you don't really mind about things like that when you're a kid, but I do wear it all now I guess (I'm in year 8 Secondary School) but my eldest sister didn't start wearing it till she was 13/14. I guess being youngest makes you want to wear it more because you see your older sisters wearing it.

I don't wear as much as most and I don't wear any to school, there's no point, it's just school. I only really wear mascara, foundation and eye liner.

I think I started wearing foundation sometime in middle school...I didn't touch eyeliner or anything until high school, and even now I'm generally too lazy to put it on, and I'm a freshman in college XD

As for the right age to start wearing makeup, I think it's a matter of maturity. I think it's left up to each individual case because it's right for some kids but definitely not for others.

The right age to wear makeup? Well, I don't wear makeup, but I do have an opinion on this.

I think it depends. I know some girls that are 13 that look 10, and have no acne or blemishes that I know don't need makeup.

But also, I know my friend, who matured really fast at 12, started wearing makeup then, and that was what she needed.

There's not really a set "right age" for me.

Freshman year of highschool is when I started to wear little bits of make-up now and then. I was thankfully gifted in great skin; never had a pimple in my life. The only time I wear foundation is when I'm going out somewhere to cover up my broken nose scar (thank gosh It's a normal looking nose) but normally because I just don't really need it. Sometimes I wear light eyeliner and mascara with that bath & body works mint green lip gloss stuff, or whatever it's called xD & that's about it (: But little kids I think grade 2-7 shouldn't really wear make-up.

i agree with the people who say it's really up to you. My friends are into the eyeliner and mascara to school thing (personally i think i look awful in it lol) and all i wear is occasional silvery mascara that doesn't totally show up, and sometimes lip gloss.
Again, its entirely up to you, but IMO, anyone under the fifth grade doesn't need to look like a raccoon or Barbie
