For those of us that don't get to go to DL very often, I vote for it to stay! Love, love, love the show, and I'm sure I will love it even without the flying carpet going overhead. I can not wait to see it again the next time we're there.

I'm sure someday they'll replace it as they almost did with Toy Story and when that time comes, I hope that not only is it as Broadway-quality as Aladdin, but that it's as *funny* too!

was there when the accident happened..my family and i where on the upper deck, we had never seen the show before. During the scene of the night flight of jasmine & aladdin the carpet turned to it's side, and went upside down. At first the audience thought it was part of the show, then everyone started panicking. The cm that played jasmine was screaming names of other cm's for help, and you could hear the cm playing aladdin talking to her softley trying to calm her down.. they where probably more than 40 ft from the ground below hanging upside down.. Thank goodness the saftey harnesses held true. It was a mad scatter of of the audience below as the two cm's hung above them.... and it was an awkward moment for myself as a parent to try to explain what happened to a 5y/o. The show was canceled that day, and we went back 2 days later when it re-opened, and the floor carpet was installed... while yes i thought the flying carpet was cool.... i can totaly understand why the cm's are not flying the carpet anymore...

It's a great show but they need to put others in rotation. I like Disneydreamsdancer's idea that DCA needs to draw on other Broadway shows like Mary Poppins, Beauty/Beast, The Lion King to add some new interest down at the Hyperion Theatre. Rotate shows every couple of years so visitors have something to look forward to.

Not everyone who's seen Aladdin wants to see it again. And again. And again. ;)
