Hi!

I think I have talked DH into going to WDW this year from 12/28/08 until 1/3/09. We are planning on going to CP at Epcot on Dec. 29. I was thinking about making ADRs for Le Cellier for both of us and DS8 and DD4. What do you think?:confused3

Also, I was thinking of the Magic Kingdom for New Years Eve and making ADRs for Liberty Tree Tavern for all of us. What better way to start a new year but being in Walt Disney World? :cloud9:

What are your suggestions or your imput? We have always traveled in the summer months - never around the holidays. We should have two weeks off of school for next Christmas break :santa: , so this would work out great for us!

Thanks for taking the time to answer! :yay:

Are you doing the CP dinner package? If so definately go for Canada if its on there as this is the nicest restuarant that I found on the list. Not sure how it goes with making ADR's (whether you do them seperately or when you purchase the dinner package though)

I've done 2 new years in Disney and neither in MK because of the crowds but with young kids I think its a must. Liberty Tree Tavern seems like a good idea too.

Bumping and subscribing. We are going on the same dates next year. We're afraid of being locked out of the MK on New Year's Eve so we're also thinking of a restaurant inside MK. We did Crystal Palace for dinner this past June for my graduation trip. It was awesome, and I think the kids would love it.

I have spent NYE at Epcot (with dinner Teppanyaki) in 2003-4) and it was nice, crowded, but MK is a real zoo NYE. It has closed to all guests, including resort guest by 10am for the last few years we have been. so if you make adr for NYE tat MK, get there early and plan to stay(no park hopping is suggested for MK)if the park is at capacity, they will not let you in even if you have adr..we were able to start NYE at MGM then hit Epcot around 4pm with adr at 7:30pm. There are lots of outdoor venues in epcot, but it poured that night and alot was cancelled. That year, we went to last CP on 12/29 with dinner at Le Cellier and that was great..it is our favorite restaurant. This year we ate at Le Cellier for xmas eve. Wonderful as usual.

We were at MK on NYE in 2005 and I don't ever want to do it again. It was the most insanely crowded place I have ever seen in my life. In my opinion, it is not worth it at all just for the experience of being there on NYE. If you do go, plan for everything (even walking) to take a super long time and expect to be packed in like sardines, and try to have fun anyway even though it takes some effort, lol.
