I've never been to Disneyland for more that one day but the gf and I are planning a weekend there in September and the Best Western Park Place Inn seems like the way to go. What do you think?? :woohoo:

We've stayed there a couple times recently and would not hesitate to stay again if the price was right!
Its nothing fancy. Just your basic room and it is clean. I always request a room away from where the maids stock their carts and towards the back of the facility...this might add a few extra steps on the way to the parks but it has always ensured a quiet location for us. Parking is tight but we've always gotten a spot. The pool is small but enough for my kids to enjoy. The free breakfast is served upstairs at the restaurant next door...Captain Kidds...the free breakfast is fine but do not actually buy a meal there. Breakfast is just continental stuff - toast, bagels, cereal, danishes..stuff like that. Front desk staff have always been pleasant. We have no complaints really!

Stayed there last eyar and completely agree with Kristie below. My room was clean and mostly quiet (it was on the ground floor next to the pool so it was a bit noisy mid afternoon but either you're in the park at that time, or probably, in the pool itself so it really didn't bother me. I booked the night before and drove through the night arriving at 7 am and they had a room ready! I dropped my bag inside the door and hit the park running.
The location is awesome, breakfast chaotic but okay, and the room clean with a good price.

Great (best) location, clean, stayed many times. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend it.

Clean rooms, best location...it was an under-5-minute walk from my room to the turnstiles. I had a room at the back of the hotel, top floor, and heard no noise at all, though I've heard that the rooms near the pool area are loud. The beds were super-comfy & the room had a microwave & refrigerator.

The free breakfast was good for what it was (toast, cereal, juice, fruit), but stay far, far away from Captain Kidd's restaurant downstairs. :scared1:

I'd definitely stay there again; debating whether to stay there or at Stovall's Best Western on Katella (run by the same owners, not as close but nicer rooms & much nicer pool area).

I have stayed there a lot of times and it is the best location if you are not staying at the DLR hotels. Short walk from the room to the turnstiles. The rooms are very clean, microwave, refrigerator, etc. The continental breakfast is good before you go to the park. Just like what the pp said, don't eat at Captain Kidd's Restaurant since it is not that good.

The only problems about the hotel is that they do charge you if you have a vehicle. It is $8 a night to park a vehicle. The parking lot is tight. The pool is not that big, but it is big enough. The rooms that you want to avoid is right next to the pool. When people go swimming during the afternoon it can be very loud when you take a break.

No matter what, I would stay there again and again if I am not planning on staying on-site.

I also agree with the previous posters. We enjoyed our stay, and especially the location. The room was clean, breakfast was sufficient, pool was fine for the amount of time spent in it, and avoid Capt. Kids. We are going back in Oct., and staying there again.:)

Our most favorite place to stay and we go every year. Its super clean, they are very friendly. Beds are heavenly. Love love love that place!!!

I stayed there in 2006 with a friend's family (mini suite). Wasn't anything fancy but it was clean, staff was friendly and helpful and the location can't be beat unless you are staying at the GCH.

The breakfast was basic but it was big enough to fill us up each morning so we didn't have to worry about at least one meal per day. Like other posters have said, avoid the free pancakes you can get at the restaurant and just stick with the continental breakfast served above the restaurant.

We stayed there maybe 7 years ago and I don't have any negative memories about the location. In fact, I just changed our hotel reservation for our upcoming August trip and we will be staying there again. So happy to hear that the beds are comfy as that is so important after long days at the park!!
