What do you take into the parks?

If you wear glasses/sunglasses, bring an eyeglass case (store in backpack) when you go on the rides.

I noticed you had "fan" on your list.

I'm going in August with my girls ages 3 and 7 and found small battery operated soft(foam) blade fans at Walmart which are actually a key chain...for under $2.00 each. I bought Disney lanyards in Michael's and attached the fans onto them. My kids can't wait to use them!

Ok I have a stupid question, but i am new on here so I think it is permitted. lol What does KTTW stand for?

When we were there last month I took in with me:

-snacks and drinks for the day (we only ate one full meal in MK and Hollywood Studios, my kids like snacks better than regular "food" anyway.)
-umbrellas/rain poncho's
-change of clothes for the girls
-camera
-cellphone
-stroller
-autograph books for the girls (they called them journals :rotfl:)
-pennies/quarters for pressed pennies machines
-DD's Trading Pins

Your list looks pretty good; you carry a little more stuff than me. The more kids you have, the more stuff you have.:rotfl:

Backpack:
video camera
sunscreen
ponchos
snacks/water bottle
wipes
sunglasses
hats
cell phones

Fanny pack:
tickets
money
camera
chapstick
small antibacterial lotion

Keep in mind, we haven't been to WDW with our youngest yet, so I'm sure we'll have more to carry next time.

You don't want to not have what you need, but you don't want to lug too much stuff around all day. . .

Think basic weather and necessities

For Sun:
sunglasses
sunscreen
lip protection

For Water:
disposable ponchos (take up very little room)
camping towel (also very little room)
trashbag (to put your pack in on water rides)

Food:
you probably won't need but one small snack per person (e.g. two packs of crackers) maybe bottled water, but can be heavy

Medical:
bandaids, tums, bonine, immodium, tylenol, mole skin

And don't forget your Camera

the worst mistake to make is carrying way too much junk. . . much better off to forget something and have to spend 5-10 bucks than have a sore back at the end of the day. trust me I've done it both ways!

I have two bags that I bring. I have a small insulated diaper bag that I put bottled water, wet washcloth, wipes and a few snacks in. I just leave it in the stroller.

Then I carry a baggillini messenger bag that I carry everything else in, most of which has been mentioned. The only thing that hasn't is a small "neat sheet" picnic blanket. It folds up small enough for a ziploc bag and has weighted corners. It's good to have to sit on for parades or cover up chilly kids in the evening or use as a sunshade for the youngest napping in the stroller.

your list looks like mine with addition of:
ID/health ins card
envelopes with ressie #'s/maps/schedules
gum (i think that was mentioned)
bug repellent
mini flashlights/glow sticks
ear plugs (for kids and fireworks viewing)
lightweight sweatshirt (sitting inside airconditioning for meals/shows)

enjoy

my boyfriend & i take our tracking bags in to the parks and medium sized rucksack when going to the water packs.

usually in one bag:-

small purse with money/credit card/ticket & his wallet
camera & batteries
folded up poncho
small bottle of water/juice
maybe small note pad with adr numbers

we wear our sunglasses & hats most of the day

usually put on the sunsceen b4 leaving the resort. though take it with us for the water parks

try to have a good breakfast to fill ourselves up before going into the park.

I take into the parks as little as possible.
tickets, money, credit cards, room key, cell phone, ziplock bag for cellphone on water rides, printed up touringplans with ADR # written on it
DW carries the camera because she takes more pictures than I do. My glasses are photogray. Sunscreen on before leaving.
I dont need anything else.

also a small tip about the handsanitizer. but they've done studys about alcohol poisoning in chilren from using the hand sanitizer. they have it on there hands and then they put there hand in the mouth and then they're sick from the alcohol in it. i use a small pouch of wet ones one days wear we take the bag.

This isn't true. You have to ingest a LARGE amount of the sanitizer to get alcohol poisoning. It tastes so terrible that a normal child will never drink enough to get sick. I know the stuff on the internet says smaller amounts can cause it, but I called the poison control center to confirm with them in the past and they told me that the average kid wouldn't ever drink enough to cause real problems. Certainly getting some on their hands and putting their hands in their mouths wouldn't be enough to do it.

To the OP, I wouldn't bother with a video camera. We hauled ours the first couple times we went and it was such a hassle, cuz I didn't want to leave something of that much value in the stroller, and you can't carry it on a lot of the rides. I would get a compact digital camera that has a video feature and use that - much easier, and I've had 2 now that have done a great job doing video.

Ok I have a stupid question, but i am new on here so I think it is permitted. lol What does KTTW stand for?

I think it stands for "Key to the World". I believe it's the credit card type thing you get that not only is a key to your Disney resort room, but will get you into the park. That's if you bought a package, of course. If you are just paying for a room and have bought your tickets separately, then your card is just for the hotel room.
