What will you do different this time? DS and I are planning our 3rd trip to WDW for Springbreak, 2007. Yeah, I know it is a long way but I am an obsessive planner. DS will be 16 that trip and it will be our 3rd trip in 5 years. I want to do somethings we either didn’t have time for or the courage to try on this trip. One thing I swear we will do is ride every ride and see every show at least once. DS is not that happy about that and may skip the Mermaid show. I want to eat only at restaurants we have not eaten at before. I want to spend one whole day at World Showcase. What are some things you have done or plan to do that you hadn’t done before?

stay at POP. never been there before and looking forward to trying it out.

also, looking forward to trying at least one or two restaurants that we never tired before.

then there is always soarin. haven't done that yet as it is brand new.

DS wants to hit seaworld. might consider that if funds allow.

everything will be new to DD as this will be her first trip ever. (other than then one she made when she was floating aound on the inside of me - but i bet the view was not so hot at that point.)

On our next trip DH and I really want to go to Cirque. So, I think that's at the top of our lists.

These are things we have never done but are planning for our upcoming trip.

Ride
Soarin
Test Track

Dine
Le Cellier
Boma
Castle for dinner (only done breakfast)
Princess meal at Norway
WCC
Mama Melrose

Attractions
MNSSHP
Family Magic Tour

I'm sort of the opposite. Now that we've all been (10 days, using TGM- we saw a lot!), it would be fun to make a touring plan that really is the best of the best...skip some shows, skip some rides, in favor of tracking down every character, or trying lots of snacks, or riding BTMRR 6 times.

I'd also like to visit AK and Epcot WD on a beautiful day. We were at AK on 2 different days - the first was very hot, the second was very rainy. It rained all day on our world showcase day. I'd like to stroll around there on a gorgeous day and watch all the live entertainment, with a yummy drink or snack in my hand!

We're doing Cirque too! This is our 4th family trip and each time we try to do something new (rides, show, restaurant) As our kids have grown we have been able to add more things to our itinerary. This time we are doing Cirque and also DQ. We've never been able to squeeze in a visit to Disney Quest but this time we are spending an afternoon their before heading over to Cirque.

We're also doing an Illuminations fireworks cruise. We had a boat booked on our last trip but the show was cancelled due to lightning. (yes it's rare but it does happen) I was able to get a reservation for this trip so we're going to try again. Keeping our fingers crossed for this time!

When I travel in August with my parents, (they haven't been in 10 years!) There will be so much to see and do. Besides Soarin' and the new show at MGM. They haven't seen AK so to really walk around and see every show will be a treat. Especially to see there faces. I know my Mother is really looking forward to Wishes at the MK. She LOVES Tinkerbell so that will be a huge highlight for her. Now my Dad loves the old standards like Tiki room and Swiss Family Treehouse. He didn't even realize 20,000 Leagues has been closed.

I will just love watching their faces and reactions! I can't wait!!

  :hourglass

We are staying onsite for the first time, eating in Morocco and at Hollywood and Vine. We are also going to see Fantasmic, take a nap/swim break every afternoon, and split up so I can shop and my dh and ds can go to a waterpark. These are all firsts for us, but I'm hoping we are going to love our plans!

1. Camping at FW for the first time, and visiting Trails End, campfire, etc.

2. New rides (Mission Space, Soarin, Primevil (sp?) Whirl)

3. Dining at Sci-Fi, 50's PrimeTime

4. One of the waterparks

5. Pleasure Island

6. Character Meal

Wow, I just realized - that's a lot of firsts! :cool1:

- Stay onsite- it really wasn't bad staying offsite, but would like to try Pop
- See Wishes
- Fly into Sanford for cheap rates!
- Do AK and MGM
- Skip Princess lunch at Norway but definitely do CRT again!
- Skip The Living Seas
- See more of World Showcase
- Do more of Tomorrowland- it was so crowded there when we went we could barely get around

Our only trip was only 3 days in the parks so there's lots more to do December 2006 (I hope!)

On our fall trip, we will be doing SO many new things!

1- staying for a week. We've only had 2 or 3 day visits before.

2- DD is doing the Pirate cruise. pirate:

3- staying at Pop.

4- Doing TS meals every day- we will be trying LOTS of restaurants we've never been to before (thanks, Free Dining plan!).

5- TL for me, BTMRR for DD, Philharmagic for DH, Soarin' and Tom Sawyer Island for us all.

6. Wishes, Illuminations, and Fantasmic (DH is not really a fireworks guy, and DD was too young to stay up in past trips)

I can hardly wait- hurry up, October! :Pinkbounc

I've been to epcot on 3 different vacations over the last 17 or so years. Each time we breezed right through the world showcase. First time I was 14 and didn't want to see it. Second time I was 22, and husband didn't want to see it. Third time I was 31 and the kids didn't want to see it.
Now we are going back in August and I would like to leave the kids with their grandparents and have my husband and I (now 33) go to each country, have a drink, have a snack, etc... and enjoy the day. Not sure if it will be feasible, but that is what I wish for.

Thought of another. If DS will do it I would like to split up and let him ride some rides over and over again while I take my sweet time looking in the shops. He is a typical male and gets bored with shopping. We may try this also at Epcot. Let him go and ride in Future World one day while I take my time strolling World Showcase. Last trip he rushed me through.

I like that plan - just do the good stuff... i've been so many times but still I like to cram everything in! This year we are going with families - mine who've been there done that - my DH2B's who have never been - to WDW or the states - so we're gonna cram everything in and then when they've all flown home we have one week just the two of us and I think we may do the best of the best... hope for good weather - stroll around - look at the details - character spot... I've found a couple of scavenger hunts we can do to really see the little details they created for us guests that we're all to busy dashing around to see and appreicate :0)

1) We are also going to try some of the water & bike recreations at VWL!

2) We are trying CRT for breakfast

3) DH & I are planning a night at Pleasure Island

4)We are going to relax...we have 3 days in Vero Beach...I've even booked a 60 minute swedish massage

5) and then a surprise stay at AKL concierge that DD & DS don't have a clue about...that's different!

Illuminations Cruise - thanks Liz
Stormalong Bay - relax on the lazy river with a Mike's waiting for me - thanks Liz
take our time and RELAX - DS13 & I are spending TWO weeks at WDW this time!

I'm still nowhere near done planning my next trip, but here are the firsts that I'm planning to do:

1) Do the new attractions (Soarin', Cinderellabration, Lights Motor Action, Stitch)
2) Stay at Pop Century- 1st value resort
3) Dine at Le Cellier
4) Skipping AK- love the park, but decided to try something different

Having made seven previous trips, we know what we like and we like what we know. As we make additional trips, we take a lot more time to slow down and "smell the roses". We love to watch the look on the faces of others as they enjoy all that WDW has to offer. We don't feel the need to run around to the point of exhaustion.
