I just bought a Vera Bradley small pocketbook/backpack. I think I'll like it, but it doesn't have any inside pockets, that was a little disappointing (my DH bought it for me on his lunch hour). I also bought the matching small wallet to go with it ("Emily" for those that have VB items). Anyway, just wondering what goodies I"m going to put in this bag...I figure gum, Reader's Digest, 2 pairs of glasses, Tylenol, headphones for the t.v. on the seat, of course my wallet. Can you think of anything else and what do you put in yours?

I usually bring:

*Laptop
*C.D.'s/Tapes
*Portable C.D. Player/Tape Player
*Head phones
*Pen & Paper (just in case!)
*Chapstick
*Books/Magazines
*Extra Contacts
*Glasses
*Water Bottle
*Gum
*Camera

:cutie: hope some of these help!

I usually bring a small tote bag on the plane with my wallet, park tickets, (plane tickets obviously!), a magazine or 2, portable cd player w/a few cds, ibuprofen, sunglasses, tissues, digital camera, gum and some snacks.

oO0o0oO0oo0o!!! good call on the ibruprofen mhingher!!! you NEVER know when it'll come in handy :3dglasses

I will say that I ALWAYS bring a change of clothes and anything I would need for a one night stay. I have done this since my luggage was lost once.
Other than that I usually bring most of what others have said.

I always throw in spare undies/maybe pjs because I always worry about lost luggage!

I like to use my overnight bag as a carry on (it's pretty big) so that I have all my toiletries with me. I worry too much!

I loathe lugging stuff around, so I have cut waaaayyy back on carry on stuff.
I always take a bottle of cold water and my prescriptions. :earsboy:

Wallet
Palm Pilot
Cell Phone
Perscriptions (which takes up most of the bag in my case)
Water Bottle
Book
Moisturizer
Lip Balm
Gum
Sarong (if traveling in summer)

I have had my luggage delayed before, but don't like to be bogged down carrying clothes etc.... if I'm checking bags anyways. I figure if luggage gets lost, I can always just go buy whatever I need at my destination.

o.k, thanks everyone. Looks like I have pretty much everything you mentioned on my list. I like the water bottle idea though. But won't the airlines give you a bottle if requested? I never really needed it before, but not a bad idea.

Yes, you will get a drink on the plane, but it might take an hour or more before they get to you. I have started taking a water bottle, too. It is so dry on the planes that it is nice to have.

Which airline do you fly that still shows movies? I haven't had a movie inflight for years.

I carry books, gum, small snacks because they don't serve food on planes unless you want to spend $10 on a bad sandwhich, meds, motrin, tickets and a water bottle. I figure I can buy anything I need where ever I am going if my luggage is lost, although I might pack one carry-on with swimsuits for Disney because we will be getting in early and our room might not be ready.

I like to bring my own water because I drink alot, I don't like waiting for drinks to come around & I like my water icey cold - the water bottles on the plane don't seem very cold to me. I freeze half the bottle, then refill it so I have very cold water for the flight. I can top off my ice with the airline water bottle.

I usually fly JetBlue which has inflight TV/movies at each seat, every flight.

Another one for the undies/nightshirt. All my meds, park passes, reservation stuff, water, snack, chapstick, camera equip(sometimes dh carries that) book, and my swimsuit. Each one of us has pretty much the same things in our carry-ons. Dd might have her CD player. dh has his cellphone.

The only thing that I take that hasn't been mentioned is Earplanes. Sometimes I need them and other times I don't but I almost always wear them.

We're on Song airlines, and they have the new tv's in front of you, very nice. But I wasn't crazy about their free earphones, so I'm bringing my own.

Yes, I forgot to mention the Airplanes, I don't need them, but the rest of my family does. They really work great.

I also ALWAYS carry hand wipes (or the little traveling bottles of Hand Sanitizer) and lotion. I'm always washing my hands. LOL! :teeth:

For me:
Extra undies
Extra Shirt
Extra socks
Reading material
Camera
Cel Phone
Wallet and tickets
Lip balm and minimal makeup
Hair clips
I also bring my jacket with me on the plane
Water bottle(s)

For DS (4):
Extra undies
Extra socks
Extra shirt
Sweats or long pants
Reading material
Coloring materials
Snacks
Sandwich
Milk in cooler bag
Jacket

I try to take one carry-on for DS and I. It's usually a backpack so I have free hands. DH takes another backpack - I have no idea what he puts in it  .

Any prescription medication, a hairbrush, a toothbrush and toothpaste, a book, my glass case, sunglasses, and a change of clothes, if something happens to my luggage.

All toiletries, meds,book, phone charger,

In purse, money, tickets, I.D., cell phone

Ohhhhh I'm just in the middle of starting to make my own master packing list and here is what I put in my carry-on...portable DVD player, Digital Camera, APS Camera, all cords/chargers/mem cards for electronics, Water, small 3 ring binder with all of my trip info sorted, Pins to trade, Water, a magazine, cellphone, make-up, advil, and some gum.

I pack a backpack as a carry on and bring...

*Portable CD Player
*CDs
*Cell Phone & Charger
*Digital Camera/ cords/ memory cards etc..
*Magazines
*Chapstick
*Extra Contacts/ Case/ Soultion
*Hair brush
*Passport
*My Disney Bible (a binder with all our confirmations, info etc..)
*Gum & Jolly Ranchers
*Water
*Sunglasses
*Glasses
*Paper & Pen
*Makeup Bag (minus metal nail files, cuticle scissors and tweezers...just in case of security)
*Video Camera/ Extra Tapes/ Cords
*Wallet with Driver's License, Credit Card, US Cash (we're canadian so we need to get our money exchanged before we go :P)

Needless to say I bring a LOT with me lol...and this trip I'll have one of those rolaway carry ons...not sure if im going to use it though. I like my trusty backpack for Disney. The Luggage on wheels was a christmas gift from my grandparents as we are going to Europe in August.
