We've made a last minute decision (we leave tomorrow ) to try Shula's Friday night.

I decided we should treat ourselves, but as everyone knows the menu is pricy and you obviously don't want to order the wrong thing.

I am a filet girl-- thoughts between the Mary Anne and the 12oz Filet?

He likes Strips, Prime Rib, and Porterhouse--- Thoughts?

As for sides.... what was good??

Anyone have the crab cake appy? The picture on their website looks devine!!

Yachtsman is our absolute favorite meal, but in comparison on the boards, Shula's always wins so we have to see what it's all about.

Any help is appreciated!!

We went in december. We ordered ALOT of food. I promised dh to go here after he held my hand when I was in a coma for 2 days.

I had the crab cake app. It was really good. I forgot what dh had, maybe shrimp?

We both had the soup. It was good.

We both had the special rib eye of the night that was not on the menu. They will have you cut into your steak to make sure it is to your liking.

We shared the baked potato side. It is huge and only one half, not the whole potato. We both didnt care for it all the much.

We also ordered the creamed spinach. It was really good, but a little on the garlicky side.

For dessert we shared the chocolate souffle for 2. That was really good.

We dont drink alcohpl, but I had some really good bottled flavored ice tea.

Thanks Bunches!! I don't drink alcohol... but I said I would try on this trip  I'm trying to break myself in at age 28 so I don't fall over at my wedding after the toast :lmao:

Will do!! I'm crazy excited!! I got my flex account reimbursement today from a CT scan and it's enough to pay for Shula's and my Spa  I've been anxiously awaiting this check and was hoping it would be here before I left!!

I'm a filet girl too. I had the Mary Anne when we dined there and it was just perfect. My boyfriend ordered the 22 oz. "Cowboy" as he's a big ribeye fan. He remembers it as being big and delicious, which sounds about right to me. We both had salads. I don't remember ordering any extra sides. If we did, it was probably just a vegetable. I do remember that the salads and steaks were quite filling.

DH and I usually like the porterhouse for 2. Otherwise just the maryjane filet is up my alley and then dh will get the cowboy. They have really good creamed spinach and the potatoes with the onions. Souffle is wonderful. We usually don't do apps, unless it is a salad or something because there is so much food.

Me
. . . lobster bisque
. . . steak mary anne (aka, steak diane - named for goddess of the hunt)
. . . asparagus

Her
. . . beefsteak tomato with gorgonzola
. . . 12 oz filet
. . . double bake potato

Shared
. . . key lime pie

NOTE: The above usually yields dinner and lunch the next
day for each of us. Based upon whether we want to get a
doggie bag or not, we may just share the filet.
