What do you need to check in at ME?

There was an issue with our luggage tags mailing for ME and one member of our family who is flying in alone will not have the confirmation letter that they mail with the tags. (It says on our other letter that you have to show it to check in to the ME at the airport if you don't have magic bands.) He also does not have his magic band since they all came to us. Will he be allowed to board the ME at the airport without the magic band or the confirmation letter from ME? Thanks!

Last year I was meeting my sister at the airport for our trip to disney. We were flying in from different cities but arriving within an hour of each other. She had the confirmation letter but I had her ship me my magic band just in case one of our flights got delayed.

We just booked a night last week for next weekend (the 12th). We had booked our trip from the 13th to the 20th, but accidentally booked our flight on the 12th. So, our ME tags may not be here either (if they're sent at all). Do you just go get your bags at OIA as normal and then take them to the ME place? Right now we have a rental car for the trip, but might cancel it and just take Disney transport. So was curious.

You can get your bags and take them to the ME checkin area.

Or you can leave your bags and give the airline's luggage tags (and a description of the bags) to the DME people, and let them deliver the bags. (assuming you're landing after 5am and before 10pm)

All they need is a reservation number for the Disney resort. Make sure the guest's name is on the reservation. They should pick up their own luggage from baggage claim and take it with them to the ME desk. They can look up the reservation and get them on the right bus.

They don't have to though. There's a whole post in a long thread about it in the Transportation forum. They can have the DME people get the bags from the carousel if they don't wish to get the bags themselves. Even without the DME tags.

Any listed adult on a reservation can check in at the resort. They'll either give him a grey band or just a card to enter the room.
