What Do You Miss Out On When Using Fast Pass on some Rides?

We are going to WDW in mid November, and were told this time usually has more manageable crowds. We know we want to see the new queues for Peter Pan and Winnie the Pooh at MK. We have never used FP on Tower of Terror at HS or Dinosaur or Expedition Everest at AK. Do you miss out on going through the hotel at ToT with a fast pass, the village and museum at EE with a fastpass, or the big round room with the dinosaur bones with a fastpass at Dinosaur? I read two threads about everyone's favorite queues, but not sure what we miss is we FP these.

You don't miss out on going through the hotel at ToT. You do miss standing in the line outside of the building*. You might miss some of the village/museum at EE, but you still get to see many artifacts along the path. You do miss standing in the long line*. I do not believe that you miss the big round room of Dinosaur ...some one can correct me, if I'm wrong. You do miss standing in the long line*. * All 'long line' comments assume that there IS a long line and that the standby long line is shorter than the FP long line. It's a roll of the dice!

Just to add to DWillowBay's comment, you wind up going through the same areas for ToT and Dinosaur. On EE, you see an abbreviated version of the full queue/storyline. You might miss the little details and intricacies of the queues and storyline even if you walk through the same rooms because you may walk through them quickly instead of having time to observe as you would in the standby line.

7DMT has a fun, game area in the stand by line that you miss in the FP line
Soarin' has a trivia game you miss if you use the FP line
Haunted Mansion has some graveyard elements that you miss in the FP line (though this may be still combined due to some refurb)

I read on here that getting FP for Storytime with Belle means you miss the room where mirror magically turns into the door. That was not the case for us.

EE may miss out on the personalized ads
(they use the long range part of Magic bands to make up some company names on electronic posters. Not every guest gets a poster.)

Oooh I love this thread!! I know other posters are actually answering your question, but I DO miss, like emotionally miss the queues in some of my favorite rides while using FP. I can't remember the last time I walked through the misting fern gardens of ToT, the anticipation growing with every minute as I got closer to the empty fountain! Or the winding paths of Splash Mountain, randomly overhearing bickering critters in their tree houses :flower3: I haven't had the time to stop and actually play the space games in Space Mountain in forever either....gosh, there's SO many that I actually miss that having a FP omits. I do feel I have lost a little by using FP too much as I clearly enjoy all the details put into my favorite queues, they are most defiantly a part of my ride memories :)

Frozen Ever After - you'll miss Oaken's sauna (it's neat but not 1-2hrs of waiting neat)
Flight of Passage (Avatar) - You'll miss the science experiments and the floating Avatar
Toy Story - In the past, you'd have missed Mr. Potato Head
Space Mountain - in-queue interactive games (but still follows the same path as standby)

On Toy Story Mania, if you go with the FP+ line you won't see the talking Mr Potato.

TC :cool1:

I agree. I kinda wish we had more time to look and take pics of all the cool stuff in the standby areas . But I do like being able to get on the rides quicker so... I guess that's more important but yeah I just know you have more cool things to see on the way no matter which ride you're going on.

FP with Dinosaur - you still walk thru the round room with the mounted dinosaur skeleton.

I never had a FP for Winnie the Pooh (and I love Winnie), but I wouldn't mind skipping that interactive line because I'm a germaphobe. This past trip I kept telling my kids to not touch the big honey-dripping screen!

I read on here that getting FP for Storytime with Belle means you miss the room where mirror magically turns into the door. That was not the case for us.
That has never been the case, can't imagine why they'd say that. You merge in there.

EE may miss out on the personalized ads

No, they have those on both ends of the room, the FP line gets them too. Same on RnR

100 degree heat, children running amok, the guy that hasn't bathed all week, and the teenagers that elbow by you to meet up with their 'mom' at the front of the line.
