What do you miss most?

It's funny the weird little things I've found myself missing about WDW. Using the Magic Band for everything, having a refillable mug, the music in the parks (especially MK), the Today at WDW TV station at the resort (OMG, I refused to turn the TV on the morning we left. Too sad!)

And this one's really strange, but the buses! Mom and I were walking over to fill up our mugs one last time at Pepper Market, and we heard the "hisssss" of the bus hydraulics and the "beep, beep, beep!" of them letting the ramp down for an ECV. OMG, it made me so sad that we weren't going to be getting on and going to a park! Now whenever I hear anything that reminds me of those all-too-familiar Disney bus sounds, I pine for WDW.

The meet and greets, there's something about meeting characters at Walt Disney World and any Disney Park in general that is so unique and special that you don't get in other theme parks.

The music. Fortunately, much of it is available on You Tube.

I also miss just being there. When we went to Disney back in late February - early March, it was the first away from home vacation we had taken in 4 years. And, the day before we left, I accepted a new job. The weather was perfect, not too hot, not to cold and no rain. And nothing went wrong. It was one of the two best vacations that my family and I have taken. I wish I could go back now and recapture some of the "magic" we had during that week.

There are certain smells in WDW that just hit you and you know exactly where you are. Doesn't matter how long I've been away. I feel like I can be blindfolded and know where I am just based on the smell.

I remember getting off the bus a couple years back to check into one of the All Star resorts and those doors slid open and I was just hit with that mild chlorine smell coupled with the food court and just thought, "Oh, yeah, I forgot about that."

We usually stay at FW and I miss hearing the boat horns when they enter and leave the docks. If I hear them in a video, it brings me back. I also miss hearing the music playing, but I pull them up once and a while just to listen and think where I might be.

The smells, dear Og, the smells. If they could bottle up the smells of Main Street, Pirates of the Caribbean, Splash Mountain, and so on, they could make billions.
