My hubby and I are dreaming of our trip to Disney next fall. Why is it that my baby grows up way to fast but counting down to a trip to Disney takes forever!

So... what is it that you miss most about Disney when you get home?

I miss the aroma of the different parks, especially walking down main street at Magic Kingdom.

I miss everything.

But what I miss the most is Cinderella's Castle. Magic Kingdom as a whole, I love it. Wishes, Fantasmic, Illuminations, and the Tree of Life -- all things that make me get outta bed in the morning (I know, it's lame but true).

To think on it makes me so sad, we dont get to go back til 09. But part of what makes it so magical for me is that we don't go every year -- the downtime to the magic makes it all worth while.

I call it the "Disney Hangover" when we come home. I feel miserable and sad about a day after we return until we go again. As said in another post I miss the smell of Main Street. I miss the magic of it all and especially the uninterrupted time with my family.

for me its all a huge fantasy, I have no worries when Im there so Im always missing that worry free whens the 3 oclock parade sorta mentality!;)
I own/run 2 small business and the stress level is :scared1: .....so Im all about the fantasy every now and again!:thumbsup2 princess:

I miss seeing all of the beautiful Architecture of the buildings in
all of the Parks and the Resorts (I never tire of looking at the buildings).

We really enjoyed trying New TS Restaurants and miss that.

I also miss being able to wear the Disney cartoon T-shirts as an Adult and nobody giving you
a strange look because they also have on Mickey T-shirts, that's normal.

 So to Cure my Homesickness I start planning another trip as soon
as I get Home--that helps out a lot.:surfweb: :yay:

For about a week after we get back I day dream. I have gone once a year for about 13years. I love spending time with my family and swinging in the hammock with my little brother. Daring my dad and brother to ride the "scary" rides and tring to make my mom sick on some of them. :) I have SO many GREAT memories from being a child that now this is the first year I am going as a mommy! I hope my children have as much fun as I did and I hope I can give them the GREAT memories that my parents did! The memories are still lingering around 13 years later!!

Oh, YAH! I could have written this one, too...

I miss the happy feeling that floats around with me the whole time I'm there. Also, I miss the bond between my husband and me. We get along great all the time, but at WDW we're like two peas in a pod.

This being the first trip with "my family" I miss the excitment in my children's eyes when they saw the different sites and characters. I also miss the ease of everything being planned (yeah it was hard work making all the plans) but it was wonderful not having to think while I was there.

The #1 thing I miss is having the feeling as if I was special. It seemed that all the cast members go out of there way to make everyone feel that way. It was a welcomed break from the real world!!!

I miss the magical feeling!! The feeling that comes with being in the happiest place in the whole world!!!

I miss my girls faces. Seeing the magic in their eyes.... I believe at DW they feel as though anything can happen. My youngest niece(5) even said that DW makes all you dreams come true. Nothing better in the world than that!

I miss the magic. The way the music fills your soul when you are there, especially at the shows like Lion King and Finding Nemo and Wishes. I miss eating caramel apples at MK and pictures just can't capture the beauty of the castle. I miss the way you feel like a kid on rides like Pooh and Buzz. The fact that it is totally normal for adults to ride those rides without kids.

I miss the relaxation( I know not that many people say Disney is relaxing) but I truly think it is. No cellphones, keeping up w/ house chores, writing bills, doing dishes, carpool etc. I miss just the being a family 24hrs a day. No ball games, dance, brownies, homework, violin lessons. Just us!

The laughter, the magic, the castle, the smile of not only my daughter( who was 20plus the last time I took her) but others and the joy that other children have, adults too for that matter...it's a place where EVERYONE can be a kid:)

Walking down Main Street USA at dusk.....caramel apples.....snacking at all the different countries at Epcot!
Oh, and Casey's Corner hot dogs...why don't they taste the same at home?

I miss everything about Disney. The biggest thing I think that my DH and I enjoy is meeting and talking to people from all over the world. We love spending time with others at their best. (Well, most people are at their best at Disney)

The best memory we have is from a trip we took last year. We were on a bus, very late, coming back from the MK. A little boy (about 3) was crying in his mother's lap. Obviously overtired and ready to be in bed. The mother was lovingly trying to console him but nothing was working.

Then, out of nowhere, a little girl from Spain about the same age who was a "Shirley Temple" look a-like, popped up from the seat in front of him. She turned towards him and started to sing to him all kinds of kid songs in Spanish. Some I recognized and some I didn't. The little boy immediately stopped crying and even smiled a little. She sang to him to whole way home and the whole bus gave her a standing ovation when we returned to our resorts. It was definitely MAGICAL.
