Hello fellow Disers, I am Lori and I want to share with you all my plans for my upcoming girls only trip to WDW next month. My title is how my DH feels, as he is so sad that it's my friend and I going and not him. This is coming from the guy who says I have worn Disney out for him and he's tired of it :rotfl2: What do you do! So I planned a trip with a friend I work with who hasn't been to WDW since the 80's. Boy is she in for a real treat! Yes I am sad that my DH won't be with me, but going with a friend is kind of like going solo as I get to try restaurants and activities my DH may not want to. Also it's just nice to have girl time! Also my husband is a pilot in the USAF and I can't tell you how many times he has been "stuck" in Waikiki while I am at home bored :rotfl2: My friend is Sue and is very easy going like I am and had told me I am in charge and she is along for the ride. Gotta love that :cool1:

Here are us with our husbands, the first one is myself and my DH Peter at last years MVMCP. We had the best time!

Our dates are Sept 26-Oct 1

Orginally we were going to stay at the Yacht Club with the dining plan and go all out. However I wasn't feeling the YC and wasn't liking the price, even with the 40% military discount. So it was kind of funny how we wound up at my ol favorite CSR! I am a 2011 Mini Cooper S owner and will be attending a Mini gathering that Friday evening and a car show on Saturday, so since we are attendees we scored a water view room for $89 a night :cool1: I was super excited to return to CSR and even more excited to save mucho $$$$$. This means no Dining Plan, but that's ok I don't need all the food and we can eat when we want and how we want.

I cannot wait to be sitting right here, with a People Magazine chilling out with my friend!

Arrival Day

Our flight gets in to MCO at 10:45 am on Wed September 26. From there we plan on hopping on the wonderful Magical Express to be whist away to the beautiful CSR!

I haven't decided yet whether we should go to Typhoon Lagoon and relax in the lazy river or go to DT Disney and walk around there. We are going to pick up lunch either at CSR or DTD. Oh decisions, decisions! I will have to make up my mind soon because I still need to buy our tickets.

For dinner that evening I have a reservation for Sanaa, which I have been dying to try. I love curry and Indian food and I keep hearing good things. Also I do like trying new things, makes each trip special to not do the same thing each time. Also I want to show Sue the Jambo House, as I think it's the best lobby Disney has ever done!

Sooo I booked a quick 6 day 5 night trip to LA, to include two nights at the DLH and a few days in the parks :cool1: So my planning has shifted to the LA area, I love last minute flights! The only reason we are going to DL is to see the new Carland as we are classic car nuts and cannot wait to ride RSR!!

Back to my WDW pre trippie, it was decided yesterday that we will be doing the water parks the first day. For an extra $27 to add that option we figured why not!

:wave2: A girls-only trip? How fun!

Know what struck me? All those towels saving lounge chairs by the pool! :lmao: Love the one with the sunglasses. :thumbsup2

Anyhow, I'll be reading! popcorn::

Day 2

We are planning on going to Animal Kingdom that morning, this will be Sue's first time going there. We have a reservation for one of my favorites Yak and Yeti. From there we will probably go to DT Disney for a little shopping then go back to CSR for pooltime. That evening is up in the air at this point. Trip is less than a month away!!! We are leaving for SoCal on Friday, hearing about these swarms of earthquakes is not the greatest news, but you can't live your life being scared.

Hope you guys are having a great time in CA!

Back to my beloved WDW PTR! Disneyland was perfection as always, Carsland blew us away!! Being classic car people we appreciated all the details and wow they hit the nail on the head with this place. Here a couple of photos from Carsland to share!!

Okay enough with Carsland :lmao: I am hearing that the day before the Food and Wine starts they do a soft opening. Soooo Sue and I are going to go over that afternoon/evening and check it out. No plans for dinner that evening so whatever we feel like is what we will have. I am so excited in some ways not to have the DDP on this trip so I am not a slave to the ADR's everyday and also it will allow me to try some of the kiosks and snacks I have never had.

Can you believe our trip is only 13 days away people!!!

2 more days until online check in. Dragged out the suitcase yesterday to start packing. Going shopping this weekend for a few new outfits to wear to the food and wine festival!!

::yes::How did I miss this?? :confused3
About DL - How awesome that you got to visit Carsland. They really did a great job with that. Next time you are out here let me know! :)

Wishing you all the best for your upcoming trip.

Thanks Brenda, I have to catch up on your TR, I am all caught up on the dining one! I will let you know the next time I am back at our beloved DLR.

Whoo hoo tomorrow is online check in for CSR and that means I am 10 days away from my happy place!!

Checked in online day :cool1: Working the details for what we are going to do on Saturday. Probably food and wine early then hit up the MK or DHS! Dinner that night is a Via Napoli, I may cancel it because the crowds at Epcot on a Saturday during the festival are epic.

Less than 24 hours to go!! Checked in for flight this morning. 3:30 am cannot get here fast enough. Lets hope I can sleep tonight!!!

I wish you a ton of fun and great food and I hope you enjoy every second of your trip!! :thumbsup2

Come back and let you know how much fun you had!! ::yes::

Hi Lori! Sorry you have to leave WDW today but at least you have us poor souls to look forward to sharing all the highlights with! I hope you had a fabulous time! :)
