I bought a wheelchair backpack for a local homeless person from Walmart online and this is on the package... WTH, it says there is a warning but does not say what the warning is for? I'm inclined to return it because it's just a weird way to mark an item, like what could it be warning me about??? lead? poison? Not sure what to think, has anyone else ever seen this?

My first thought was the CA law that a consumer must be warned if a product contains lead or toxins. I googled and came up with this:

A clear and reasonable warning is a warning that a business must provide to consumers in California before exposing them to chemicals that are known to cause cancer or reproductive harm. The warning must be clear and reasonable, and businesses must provide it in a variety of ways, including: On the product or its packaging.

Im not sure if that is what your warning is pertaining to though.

My guess, like anniemae's, is that this is a California requirement that was somehow lost in translation. California requires labels on products that have many chemicals that might be harmful. If the recipient is not eating the backpack, it's probably fine.

My first thought was the typical warning you get about plastic bags (don't allow kids to play with them, don't put them over your head, etc).

But yeah, it could be something with how it's made.

I usually don't even read the labels on the plastic and wouldn't even consider returning an item I ordered because of a label.
