We own SSR. I love how quiet it is. I also love the decor. It's relaxing. THV wasn't available when we purchased but it was great to have that option in Jan 2010 when we brought our two boys, 19 and 22. They were each able to have their own bedroom. My Husband likes to golf. We don't spend all our time at the parks so it's nice to be able to walk over or take a short bus ride to DTD.
AKV-The animals obviously The resort is so beautiful whether at Kidani or Jambo. The savanna view is a must.
GVC-The location is stupendous! I love Disneyland because you can walk to everything. GVC is a stunning resort. By far my favorite so far.
AKV is our relaxing home away from home! I could just sit on my savannah view balcony all day and never get tired of it. Of course the other amenities -pools, firepits, restaurants, animal viewing areas with CM's to add comments, bar and lounge area, etc., etc. etc!!! It is an experience not to be missed. I absolutely MUST have at least 1 whole resort day per trip.
i've stayed in a few DVC's ( BCV, AKV, GDV ) and they are ALL very nice. But our HOME resort is BCV and I just don't feel right not staying there. What I love MOST about it ( among many things I love ) is the LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!!!! 5 minute walk from Epcot, 10 minute boat ( 15 minute walk ) to Studios!! With the boardwalk right behind... how can you NOT love it!!!
1. The view from the Boardwalk view rooms.
2. The easy access to Epcot / DHS
3. The whole Crescent Lake Resort area.
4. Availability of Standard and Boardwalk View Points
5. Probably most importantly, DH and I spent a beautiful pixie dusted evening strolling on the boardwalk together. Very romantic and special to us as a couple.
We are celebrating my graduation this Fall in a standard view room, and our 20th anniversary next Spring in a Boardwalk view room!!!
