What do you Love about coming home from Vacation?

Now that's one I haven't heard before.

You know that single ply, really thing TP that hotels use? That's the kind that I hate. My boyfriend's parents use the same kind. I almost brought a roll with me when we visited last time, but decided that would be rude. It's one of the few things that I don't have a problem spending extra money on. Don't get me wrong, I buy Wegman's brand, but it's still softer and has a few plys!!
I guess I am weird...who's that particular over TP!?

Two things - our dog and my goose down pillow. And if we've been at Disney or someplace else where we stay in a standard hotel room, my kitchen. I love eating out as much as the next gal, but that first home cooked meal after coming home is just wonderful.

Nothing better than the anticipation of walking in to our dogs! I miss them so much while we're away. My babies. We call the house as we're coming up the block to tell them on the answering machine to meet us at the door!

Oh, you are not weird at all. You like what you like, nothin' wrong with that. And I do know the kind of TP you speak of. I don't particularly like it either, I just have to use more of it since it's thin and single ply.

I have been gone for 7 weeks now and I am on my way home now. I can't tell you how happy I will be to get home Sunday and see my DOG! I miss her so much. I also miss my bed, my house, my family and everything. I miss my small town too, and I never thought I would say that but I really do.

But I think my favorite moment coming home is going to the bathroom for the first time and using my toilet paper I hate hotel toilet paper...I'll be away for a total of 2 weeks between a work meeting and our Disney trip, I'm actually considering bringing my own toilet paper...

For me it's the toilet more than the toilet paper! There's something about the privacy of your own bathroom when you've been traveling and using a lot of public restrooms! Even in hotels I'm usually sharing with 3 other people vs. the one I share with at home.

Normally I also clean up so the home is nice and neat when we get home but this year our basement fooded less than a week before we were leaving so now with everything moved out of the basement it is going to be much more messy than normal.

I miss my own bed--it always feels so comfortable when you get in it for the first time after a trip. I also miss my TiVo and the ugly but comfortable sectional sofa in my basement.

While a vacation is great, I think it helps us to appreciate our homes a little bit more. I just purchased a new carry on for my WDW vacation in Dec. Vacation is good for the soul.
