I love Boxing Day because there isn't the pressure of Christmas Day. We've slept late, had a lovely breakfast and now I'm spending the afternoon dising and watching one of the dvds I got for Christmas.

Then we are having lovely meal at my mum and dads followed by a game of Disney Trivial Pursuit.

I really wanted this but as I am the only one in the family who likes Disney DH pointed out that I would have nobody to play it with (I have Disney monopoly though :earboy2: )

I like boxing day because it is more relaxed and I will be catching up with friends later on and going for a good night out.

It's a very quiet day in our house, DH usually has to go back to work on Boxing Day so it's just me - ths year it's just me and Shelby. We have had a little lie in and I am still tidying up from yesterday! We have got so much new stuff for Shelby and I am currently trying to put together a ride along Eeyore! :)

Later we are going to my mom and dad's for tea and then we will probably play Disney Scene It!

Hi Florence! I get to celebrate Boxing Day on this side of the pond...since Christmas was on a Sunday I have today off. Am having a lazy morning, catching up on the DIS, and will go to lunch and a movie with little sister later on. We're having beautiful weather (mid-70's), so we'll probably dine al fresco :sunny:

Hope you had/are having a wonderful Holiday!

Boxing day to me is "Nothing Important to do, and all day to to it in".

I have had a great day today, slept late, did a little shopping(well the sales have started), played boardgames and video games all afternnon with Vicki, and just generally chilled out, great day :goodvibes

That sums it up!

We pottered this morning and this afternoon went to one of DH friends from work to have a meal - thie is a boxing day tradition! The first year she invited us we ate lunch before we went as we thought we'd be having nibbles but now we know it's the full turkey and trimmings.

After DD goes to bed we may open our Boxing Day pressie (this is always something to do a DVD or a game). This year it is Lord of the Rings Trivial Pursuits :)

Back to MIL's for part two. SIL and there kids join us this time so grannie gets to play with 5 grandchildren.

Got back about 4pm so the troops can spend some time enjoying their presents.
They are currently playing Toy Story monopoly :)

I had a lie in this morning and Jason got up with the children which was lovely. Spent most of the day relaxing and opening an endless stream of boxes. Bratz dolls are a nightmare to get out of their packaging and Amber got 7 of them yesterday. Had our first present casualty - Emily's Dora the Explorer inflatable chair ripped at the join so that is irreperable and a replacement has already been ordered from Amazon!

we spent most of the day struggling with the packing mountain ! and then we went to the MIL's for the annual family get together
the kids had a great time and the adults just sat and chatted :)

Didnt do much really, DS's played on their PSP's, l made some soup out of leftovers and then we spent the evening looking for a shop that sold cough medicine & Olbas oil for my youngest DS!!!

Then on returning home, found the toilet wouldnt flush so had to call out a plumber :sad2:
