There are so many threads where people don't seem to be happy with FP+. I haven't been to WDW yet with them, but they can't be ruining EVERYONE'S trip right? Surely, some people aren't bothered by it or actually even like it. So, please tell me what you do LIKE about FP+ and magic bands.

Thanks!

I'm good with the MagicBands. They're convenient (though I would like them to find a way that I wouldn't still have to carry my DVC membership card and Tables in Wonderland card). And I haven't had too many problems with getting them to work.

It's just limiting to 3 FP+ reservations per day (and tiering) that I have a problem with,

We found the MB's to be convenient for getting into the room and making purchases.

We found FP+ to be useful for reserving certain attractions days in advance for those days and times we knew there would be long lines for those attractions.

I'd also like to hear from others what they like about FP+ beyond that.

No more running through the park to get FP-, ability to park hop and already have FP's for the next park, No worry about FP interfering with ADR's, love the time block for FP+, really gave us much more time to do rides and shows.
Great flexibility to change times if we found we wanted to switch something.

I don't like the limit of three, but I DO like the fact that they can be reserved ahead of time. Also, that you can reserve them without having to actually go to each ride. I like that I can CHOOSE the time I want instead of whatever time is currently being distributed by the machines (especially helpful in avoiding conflicts with ADRs).

Overall, I'm not thrilled with getting less FPs, but I do like those facets of the new system.

Both MB and FP+ allowed me to not worry so much about my day, and just enjoy my vacation. I didn't have to keep track of my room key or my wallet all the time, just the band. All my FP+ were long booked, and easily changed when I needed them to be.

Are you allowed to pick FP's for each park you visit if you park hop or just three a day?

How far in advance can you make fast pass Plus selections? My Disney family will be arriving 5/30/14. Thanks

I like that we don't have to physically go to the ride and we can pick our time. I like they we have the opportunity to do it on our own devices.

Every other aspect of the system is worse than FP- for our family.

Just 3 in one park a day. The ones in Epcot and DHS are subject to tiering.

Right now, 1 park only

60 days before arrival date at a WDW resort.

My likes are:

Ability to choose any time of the day. It seemed like when they took away "return anytime after" unwritten rule with FP-, it became less flexible, especially working around ADR's. You can plan for one either before or after meals, don't have to see what the current return time is.

You don't have to go to the ride to get it. No worrying about what time you can pull another one and if you will be near your next choice at that time. Plus it was such a pain to get FP- for Soarin, go all the way to The Land building, downstairs, fight the crowds. That was the worst setup for FP-.

As of next week it is the only way to ride the e-tickets without waiting in line during the middle of the day (RD is still the best time for rides).

I enjoy being able to schedule a FP for TM at 1:00- i never used to ride TSM except within half an hour of park opening- means I occasionally make it to noon at DHS before heading over to EPCOT.

I enjoy being able to reschedule FP+'s on the fly with my phone (something that was not possible with legacy)

Did I like the old system? Sure but its gone now and the new system has worked just fine for us.

Thank you all, very helpful. Staying at SSR with my Sister (who is the best Auntie ever) and two Disney Daughters.

Well, we went in late August before the tiering, so we were able to get FPs for all our main attractions.

Things I LOVED were:

1. Not having to dig out my card (I never got into the lanyard thing);
2. Knowing that we already had FPs (esp for TSMM) and didn't have to designate runners;
3. Not worrying about whether our FP times would conflict with ADRs;
4. Not having to dole out the KTTW cards to the family and then collect them all, in case one got lost;
5. Not stressing as much about getting there early, as we knew that we were going to be able to ride our favourite rides and when.

Nope, just one park now. We go to the first park early, ride until around 11-12, then hop to the park we chose FP+ for. Worked like a charm! One day we made three parks and were able to ride all the headliners.

Glad to see all the positive replies here.
We're going in March and we just finished picking our fast pass+ rides.
I was worried about this new system but definitely like the convenience of not having to get to the ride first, get a FP and then find something to do in the meantime. It definitely seems more convenient already. :thumbsup2
I agree with all the perks other posters listed. Definitely makes it easier.
My only issue is only being able to pick 3 in one park and how it will work out with park hopping. I guess we'll see when we get there.
