What do you guys request for a balcony?

I've been thinking about it and I would really prefer a higher floor at the Poly as opposed to a ground floor. I have requested the Tahiti Building but would also like to request a higher floor. Since I have to go through my AAA travel agent I was wondering what Disney typically puts on the reservation for this type of request. I don't want to put balcony and have them interpret that as a patio/balcony. So should I request 2nd or 3rd floor, or just say Balcony?

I'm really becoming too obsessive about all this...but I'm proposing and as much as I know I can't make it all perfect...I want it to be.

You'll want to get info on the longhouses at the Poly. Some of them only have balconies on the third floor. There are patios on the first floor, but the second floor just has the sliding glass door with no balcony. Some of the longhouses do have balconies on the second and third floors.
Then ask your AAA agent to request the longhouse that you'd like, and then request a third floor just to be on the safe side.

I prefer the highest floor I can get, much quieter for some reason

To be sure to get a balcony, request 3rd floor and do list your requests in the order of importance - if Tahiti is more impoartnat than the balcony then list that first...but with those two requests all should be fine.

Have a great trip - Tahiti is a fabulous longhouse!! (p.s. at check in, if Tahiti is not available and you did not book a Lagoon view, ask about Tokelau, then Rapi Nui, both in the same area as Tahiti.)
