What do you fill stockings with?

Here is what isin hubby's
Shaving cream. Razors gum pens. Markers. Choc toffee crunch. Blake licorice. Cookies. Toothpaste and brush. Kinder egg. Riccola. Shampoo hand soap. Choc bells. Starbucks card. Might add a lotto card

We do giftcards (Starbucks, iTunes, Amazon, Google Play Store, etc.), candies, coffee mugs/tervis tumblers (and straws/lids), card games/handheld games, PJ pants or T-Shirts (rolled up), kitchen gadgets, pens/desk tools, embroidered handkerchiefs and other smaller items.

Pretty much anything that I feel is to little, small or hard to wrap (cause it might get overlooked or lost under the tree) goes in the stockings.

Everyone:

Apples or oranges or pears--depending on the person. We all like different things!

Hershey's Kisses (regular and candy cane), Reese's cups, Hershey's Miniatures.

Whole nuts.

"candy cane" of hersheyettes and another of Reese's pieces

Candy canes (amazing how there are none in the house until Christmas morning, and then they appear all over the tree and in the stockings!)

Individual:
DS--2 Hot wheels (the mystery ones); Magic towels (spiderman and avengers this year); Tube of Mini M&Ms; and this year, an electical plug. He's going to be so lost on that, until he gets to presents. We got him the Snap Circuits Extreme from Santa, and the plug is to take the place of batteries!

DD#2--Lindzer truffles; Peppermint chocolate. she's an adult, we don't get much in our stockings! (DD#1 lives across the country, she just gets cash) [but when they were younger, it was similar to DS's...toys or gift cards, makeup]

Dh and I, nothing else. Santa only brings chocolates to the adults in our house--We both have a box of Ferrer Roche (spelling?) under the tree and DD#2 has chocolate covered cherries.

Kids:
* milk straws
* candy
* small toys
* socks
* hair stuff for DD
* small plush
* pens
* mitten clips
* hats

Adults:
* foodstuffs -- crackers, cookies, olive oil, etc.
* wine
* lottery scratch tickets
* socks/underwear
* gloves
* kitchen gadgets
* books/DVDs/CDs

Every year I wait until the last minute to buy stocking stuffers and I usually end up in Target buying useless fillers (how many glitter bouncy balls does a person really need) and by January everything was lost. So this year I started early. Everytime I saw something inexpensive but usefull I picked it up and started a bag in my closet. Now I just have to buy some candy and they will be all set.
i hit the jackpot in Walgreens for my 14yo dd. One direction everything. I had no idea they had their own toothpaste.

I didn't read through all the pages but last year my husband's favorite things were duct tape and zip ties in his stocking. It was such a hit I'm going to do it again this year.

Must go to Walgreens!!

Didn't read responses so sorry if I'm repeating. DH's fave is airplane sized liquor bottles. This year I did several flavored types that we would never buy a large bottle of- coffee Patron, whipped cream vodka, honey bourbon. Then DH is a scotch lover so I bought a tiny bottle of every scotch they had. He'll love it. Pistachios, a small after shave, and I'm done.

ETA...my DH is a hand sanitizer freak so I put in some pocket sized in holiday scents from Bath and Body,

That's a great idea. I think I could fit a couple in dh's stocking.

Stockings are my favorite part! Little treats.

I'm not done, but so far, I have:

DD13: One Direction socks, One Direction lanyard, 1D CD, toothbrush, ear buds, Tervis Tumbler(filling it with Hershey's kisses), Reese's PB snowman, Lindt truffles, ornament, lip glosses, hair stuff, $25 AMC gc, $10 GCs to DD, Subway and BK.

DS11:Tervis Tumbler filled with candy, earbuds, mini Giants football, packs of football cards, an ornament, a few Lego mini fig packs, mini glow in the dark basketball, Starburst, Skittles, toothbrush, maze pen, eviltron, GCs for iTunes, DD and BK and AMC.

DH: jar of crunchy PB(joke, but he'll love it anyway LOL)) Lorna Doones, Starburst, Almond Joys, gift cards to DD, Home Depot, Quiznos, and the car wash(he's picking up his new car 12/21), a box of Earl Grey tea, lotion, an ornament, $20 in scratch offs.

My husband does my stocking each year. :thumbsup2

Thought about getting eviltron for my son, but didn't know if he'd have many occasions to use it except for school, and you know how well that would go over. :)

Most of what goes in our stockings have been listed. The one thing that is ALWAYS in each persons stocking every year is a Disney pin. The whole family collects and displays them. In hubbies stocking this year he also got a Disney turkey leg air freshner for his truck. LOL he will love it.

For DH; Usually something cooking related, either a tool or cool ingredient, this year it's truffle oil, boxers, tea from teavana, and a Fine Woodworking magazine

For DD1 - Underwear, socks, fisher price little people princesses, small book, DVD
For DD2 - Sippie cup, socks, bubble bath, DVD, fisher price little people princesses

I don't like to get junk.

For my daughter:

Hershey Kisses' candy cane
Hello Kitty book
PacMan 3 for PSP

For my husband:

Box of Ferrero Rocher
Milka Hazelnut bar
$20 of Lotto scratch offs

For me:

$20 of Lotto scratch offs

Christmas is about the only time we play lotto, besides maybe a $2 lotto draw every three months or so. I consider it part of the entertainment budget. Last year, we made $20 over what we spent for Christmas lotto. TIME TO RETIRE! :rotfl2:

For DD 5:

Huge penguin pen
Hello Kitty wristlet
Polly pocket type Cinderella
Tinkerbell roll on perfume
Barbie Christmas waterpaint book set
Nano Hex bug mini
Hello Kitty mini lego kit
Mickey cup and straw
Santa Pez
flavored Rudolph lip balm
*All of the above except for the lip balm was purchased after Christmas last year on clearance

For DD 18:

Old Navy/Gap/Banana Republic gift card
Target beauty bag (free- heard about the deal here)
Bag of Lindt chocolate truffles (free- heard about this on Dis boards too)
Jimmy John's gift card (for when she gets tired of dining hall food at college)
pedicure set with purple and teal nailpolish
handmade soap
roller ball perfume in her favorite scent
mascara
eyeliner
tic tacs
mini bottle of hand sanitizer to hook on her backpack

That's all I can remember. There might be a few other things tucked away in the stocking stuffer bag. My husband and I do not have stockings, just our girls.

Is that the kids fill the parent's stockings. They mostly color pictures, and DD likes to make word searches and crossword puzzles. I take them to the Dollar Tree and they pick out a few things. Then we get some gum and other snacks. They'll make some fun crafts from anything we have around the house. Right now it is Duct tape and Sculpey. Usually we put in an ornament with their picture on it.

My parents were divorced so I always did this for my mom. My kids have done it since they were very little.

That is so sweet! I was 10 and my bro was 12 when my parents divorced, so we used a Christmas sock stuffed with our stashed Halloween candy the first year....starting the next year we talked our Dad into a trip to the gas station/CVS every year on Christmas eve, so things like magazines and favorite candies (and a silly pen every year) took center stage. The look on her face every year...was like we'd just given her the moon.

Now that we're both adults with good jobs...we finally get to spoil her the way she deserves to be spoiled! She's still single, so the only Christmas presents she gets are from us! In recent years, we've gotten her a digital camera, a keurig and this year treats from L'Occitaine (a fancy french bath/body company, the last time she shopped there was when we were kids!), Ghiradelli and other fun splurges. She's one of my favorite people to shop for...she loves EVERYTHING with give her!

For us the kids stockings have a coloring book each, paints for DD and crayons for DS, character socks, small bubble baths and gold wrapped coin chocolates (like gold doublouns - they both love anything pirate!)

DD also has the Tinker Bell zipper pulls I got when I bought the Secret of the Wings, a small Hello Kitty, polly pocket doll which DS is getting Toy Story fork/spoon set, a pull back Percy (Thomas the Train) and I'm going to get him another little car from the Cars (Matchbox sized)

For DH this year I have a CD, new mousepad and chocolate bar and I'm getting 2 CD's (the wishes soundtrack - can't wait!!), a Christmas pen and some chocolates (yes I fill my own because DH doesn't think about that but I made the mistake one time saying that Santa brings adults small things in the stocking only and the presents are just for kids - so now DD looks for Santa to put things in our stockings to - and I can't leave that up to DH, hard enought to get him to shop as it is!)

I just finished up wrapping the stocking stuffers today. I think next year I'm just going to throw everything in the stockings unwrapped!
