Curious what everyone eats before and after a long run...
I've discovered I can tolerate oatmeal and sometimes a banana before I go out.
During my long runs I've been taking just water and Clif Bloks.
I'm at a loss for what to eat after a long run. Usually for my long runs I drive somewhere, so I'm looking for something portable to eat in the car. Bananas aren't enough, correct?
I bought a few of those Luna bars at the store the other day - they don't say they're for recovery, though. Does it matter? Is there something specific I'm looking for in a product?
I saw online PowerBar now has recovery bars, but my grocery store didn't have them.
