What do you do?

Plan to book my home resort ( AKV) for next year at the 11 month window. I would also like to stay for 3-4 nights at GFV. (Which I obviously can't book until the 7 Month window) what do you do? Book the whole period at your home resort then amend? Or wait and book it all at the same time at 7 months? Any tips greatly appreciated.

If pts work out OK(which I am just assuming GFV are a little more in pts)I would book all your nights stay at your home resort, then, book at 7 mos at GFV. If it doesnt work out, at least you will have a place to stay. We have done this before

For me it somewhat depends on the time of the year and also we have flexibility so rarely have a time we definitely have to get.

But if it's a busy DVC time I'll book a home resort and then try and change at 7 months. If it's slower I'll just wait until 7 months.
