What do you do?

At my 7 month mark I am going to try and move from AKV to BCV 2BR. My questions is: what do you do if you can get all of the nights but one or two? Either front, middle or end. i know you will waitlist, but what if it doesn't come through? Do you switch resorts after one night? Switch for the one or two in the middle or after one night?

Please help. Not sure if it is wiorth the trouble.

we personally try to stay at one resort from the beginning and only change after a few days like 5 or 6 nights followed by 2-4 nights else where otherwise its just too much changing checking in and out for us. Cant see going back and forth all vacation

We stayed at Pop our first night in Dec, then moved over to AKV. DH decided then that he would never do a split stay again.

I also had this dilemma, as we recently made a change at the 7 month mark for our August reservation.

What I decided to do was if all our nights were availabe at our desired resort, we'd switch. If any nights, even just 1, weren't available, we'd keep our reservation at our home resort and waitlist the entire stay at our desired resort. That way we would not end up with a split stay. We did it once (on purpose; what were we thinking!) and it was a huge pain/hassle.

Luckily all 7 nights were available (we changed from BLT to BCV), so everything worked out. Good luck!

What made the switch a pain or hassle? If I may ask. We have a split stay coming with BCV and BLT

I've done several split stays, by choice, and I love them. We either do 2/5 or 3/4. If we don't have groceries, we take our own luggage and go by cab. If we have groceries, we let Bell Services transfer.

I love staying at 2 resorts each time. I plan dinners based on location so the extra hour it takes us to change is made up in shorter travel to/from dinner.

Thanks for all you help... Still not sure what to do. we really want to stay at BCVm but AKV is fun
