What do you do with...

a layout you have created that you just dont like or even hate. Today I was working on my Epcot pictures from our last trip. I thought I had a great idea - but it turned out horrible - just awful. For now I am putting it in my book but I think when I have time I will go back and re do it. (FYI it was a two page spread on pictures from the different countries.)

What do you do with a layout that turns out badly?

For me it depends on the subject. If its something that I really like, for example Mulan or Cinderella's Castle, I would redo it. But if its something I really don't like all that well to begin with, for example the Ellen ride, I just leave it as it is. I find that the subjects I care more about I spend more time on then the ones I really don't care about. Does that make sense?

I take them apart, put them away and come back to them. If I over think it they don't come out right. I have the Becky Higgins sketch books and sometimes I will flip through them for inspiration.

This is so true and does make sense. I guess to begin with I was not that into the pictues in the first place.

I would be too embarassed to post the page! LOL!! I think it is time for me to invest into some of those sketch books!

Awww, I wish you wouldn't be embarrassed to post it! Let us help you with it so that it becomes a layout that you'll enjoy looking at. All it might take is a little idea that someone has or a new color scheme suggestion..... and you'll be off and running!

Maybe I will but it reminds me of one of the first layouts I did. Nowadays all I really scrapbook are my disney trips and my dd's school stuff. I have gotten really into my disney books. I think maybe Iwas just trying to rush to get it done. Bad Idea!!!
