What do you do with your old MagicBands?

I have a few from previous trips and not sure what to do with them. Do you toss them or have any creative ways to use them? Mine are currently gathering dust in my closet, maybe you all will have an idea to save them from the trash can.

I wish they had a recycling bin for you at the end of your trip if you wanted to recycle.

We throw them out after our trip and go onto MDE to deactivate them.

Take them back with me on future trips. I have a blue, green, pink, and purple band now. Getting red next time.

I live with 3 females and they like to color co-ordinate, so I activate them before our trips and bring all of them. I also have multiple bands and my DDs will tell me which one to wear each day They cannot wait to add purple to their collection, been wanting that color for a couple years now

We have every color now. We bring them all and wear whichever color goes best with our outfit. My husband is the most obsessive about color coordinating

We ordered decals from a shop on Etsy, and designed each of our old Magic Bands to a Park! I have an orange one with Simba on it, a purple one with Spaceship Earth on it, and a blue one with the Castle on it. The decals are pretty cheap, and it's fun to have different ones to use!

I had two sets of every color and 3 of a few colors. I deactivated all the duplicate colors on MDE and threw them in the trash. I usually carry about 3 with me just so I can switch out colors if I want.

We take all of ours and I colour coordinate with what I'm wearing (DH takes whatever is closest in the morning). Especially if I think I'm going to have pictures taken.

I keep them at my desk at work...and when it hits the fan, I look at my bands and remind myself that WDW is not too far off and remember what fun I had at WDW.

Why do you have to activate them each time? Mine just sit there, activated (while sitting in my Owner's Locker) between trips.

Growing up in CA and spending almost my entire adulthood in western WA I am allergic to throwing things away. I would rather have them taking up a little room in my house rather than sitting in a landfill.

our whole family goes once every year and i have been collecting them for a couple of years --we are making a garland of them - linking them all together. we deactivate them after our trip and just keep them with our holiday items...they are personalized with names, nicknames and usually the year. they are going to go on our covered deck along with the holiday greenery - it is a fun reminder of our trips to WDW!

I don't think they can be assigned to anyone else, someone else can physically be using them but they can't be reassigned to a different account.

Nope. You can get more than I trip out of them if the battery is still good, but they don't cost anything when booking your reservation, and you won't save any money by reusing them.

Just the computer security part in me I really know I do not have to but I do it anyways
